I’m unsure if it has been confirmed whether Alya is the girl from Kuze’s childhood flashback. If it has, then this post might be irrelevant. Initially, I thought Alya was the girl in the flashback, but after watching the latest episode, I’m leaning towards Masha being that girl. I’ve noticed similarities in their smiles and overall vibe. This theory is based on the assumption that it hasn’t been confirmed yet. If it has, please let me know; otherwise, I’m leaning towards this theory. On a side note, Masha might be my favorite character in the series, to be honest. |

I mean, its pretty obvious from the episode when Kuze "firstly" meets Masha at the student council |

I figured it was Masha also. When Kuze introduced himself to Masha reacted to his name. When she asked if he knows Russian he denys it and the entire subject was dropped. Basically from that I figured Masha is from Kuze past, his first love. |

Oriorii said: So the flashback girl is Masha? But did the anime confirm that or not yet? The anime won't directly give a confirmation until it adapts V5, or the next season. There will be a number of hints as to her being his childhood friend until it gets there. It's for the anime-only fans to pick up on the hints. Besides, the anime technically confirmed it in Episode 3. Think about it. Why else would she speak in Russian to Masachika? She is not Alya. He was being tested. |

However the Masachika / Saa-kun thing doesn't really hints towards anything since Alya never calls Masachika Saa-kun and she speaks everything she wants him to not understand in Russian. While Masha does the opposite. So unless Alya has memories issues (which has never been said) I don't see any reasons the childhood friend was 2 girls at the same time. I think the whole blonde girl thingy is merely the usual Japanese way of saying LOOK THEY ARE FOREIGNERS. I would even say Alya saying she was blonde in V4 was a sorta fake hint before the reveal at the end of said volume. Moreover I would be kinda upset if the childhood friend was a twin trap since it would mean Masha wasn't Masachika's very first love and that the whole build up on Masachika x past Masha and Masachika x now Masha made to help Masachika getting over his past had no sense to it in volumes 5 to 7. |

We got the chapters list published yesterday. Prologues : Even so Yuki was a child Chapter 1 : And everything became thights Chapter 2 : And the eyes of mom and child met / The eyes of mom's child met mines (母子 is ambiguous) Theory : Probably a confrontation between Masachika and his mom or a confrontation of somebody with Yuki Chapter 3 : And I couldn't become anything. Theory : Probably about Masachika not fulfilling people's expectations. Chapter 4 : And Masachika took a decision. (Dunno about what) Chapter 5 : And acting became reality (dunno what that means) Chapter 6 and Chapter 7 : and Arisa died well and the culprit went crazy. (Pretty sure that's going to be Nonoa festival) Chapter 8 : And the seeds were scattered (Dunno the seeds of what) Chapter 9 : And the two welcomed each others (the welcoming of 向かい合う is polysemous so it's hard to have a theory about it) Epilogue : And so I became myself. Probably an answer to chapter 3. BONUS : A non human heart (PLEASE BE IT A NONOA SHORT STORY. I VOTED FOR HER ON BOOKWALKER) All this to say volume 9 will be clearly centered on the Suou household with maybe a bit of Masachika x Alya relationship so the Masha plot probably won't be part of it. ![]() |

That piece of information in the last bit of vol.8 has stuck in my mind lately too. I think there's a high likelihood that the author will do something with this in the future.
Maybe the "childhood friend" is both Masha and Alya but it's just that Masachika couldn't tell them apart. Since Masha and Masachika made nicknames for each other with Masachika being "Saa-kun", the "childhood friend" shouldn't have called by his name "Masachika" and pronounced it wrongly so often as well.
Definitely not coping.

but if you read a light novel in that alya said she had blonde hair back then and she has the same eyes color blue

I totally forgot about that bit in vol.4.
Nonetheless, Im even more convinced that the writer intentionally brings it up again in vol.8. I swear he's cooking something. Definitely not me coping.
I too had forgot she was said to be blonde in V4 before @aurora_yuuki reminds me of that weeks ago.
@DragyG Yep. My friend has a point. It would certainly ruin the story by quite a long shot. Not after everything the three central characters did to add value to the story - all of it would lose its meaning & impact. It would make my rating of the LN go from 10/10 to 9/10. |

Unlike in @DragyG's case.

Unlike in @DragyG's case.
We got the chapters list published yesterday.
Prologues : Even so Yuki was a child
Chapter 1 : And everything became thights
Chapter 2 : And the eyes of mom and child met / The eyes of mom's child met mines (母子 is ambiguous) Theory : Probably a confrontation between Masachika and his mom or a confrontation of somebody with Yuki
Chapter 3 : And I couldn't become anything. Theory : Probably about Masachika not fulfilling people's expectations.
Chapter 4 : And Masachika took a decision. (Dunno about what)
Chapter 5 : And acting became reality (dunno what that means)
Chapter 6 and Chapter 7 : and Arisa died well and the culprit went crazy. (Pretty sure that's going to be Nonoa festival)
Chapter 8 : And the seeds were scattered (Dunno the seeds of what)
Chapter 9 : And the two welcomed each others (the welcoming of 向かい合う is polysemous so it's hard to have a theory about it)
Epilogue : And so I became myself. Probably an answer to chapter 3.
BONUS : A non human heart (PLEASE BE IT A NONOA SHORT STORY. I VOTED FOR HER ON BOOKWALKER)
All this to say volume 9 will be clearly centered on the Suou household with maybe a bit of Masachika x Alya relationship so the Masha plot probably won't be part of it.

@DragyG Likely won't include Alya's love confession, but imagine if it did. That will probably happen in V10. |

Volume 8 ends around the 7th of November and they should do the elections in the beginning of year two so unless the time really speed up it won't be that soon. |

@DragyG Aww. 7th of November is Alya's birthday. She turned 16. It's special. I wonder what Masachika gave her as a gift, or how their exchanges went throughout that day. I'm so looking forward to reading that volume! |

@DragyG Mhm, I know, I know~ I have to finish reading V6, and then be up to date with the LN. Has to be chronological. Thanks for conversing with me, by the way. I appreciate it. |

@DragyG Aww. And I'm always smiling whenever there's an Alya & Masachika scene. So it takes a lot more than that for you to blush, hm? |

@DragyG Mmm~ I don't blush either in real life. I'm usually not expressive. The only time I do is while watching wholesome anime, though 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘿𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙄𝙣 𝙈𝙮 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩 (used to be my favorite romcom before I read the LN of ᏒᎧᏕᏂᎥᎴᏋᏒᏋ. You should watch it if you love wholesome romcom)& ʀᴏꜱʜɪᴅᴇʀᴇ made me blush the most. Have you watched it? |

@DragyG They are in middle school. 1 or 2 years younger than high school students. Ergo it wouldn't be too far of a stretch for them to be included in the same category. Besides, love transcends the bounds of time, age, ethnicity and culture; for I believe that is what makes it worthwhile and pregnant. |
