reminder animation producers are by default responsible for gathering the staff especially talented staff of an anime project

thats why some ace animation producers like fukushi and umehara from cloverworks are popular

@hanaenvy There's already enough content, the remaining content would cover at least 30 episodes.

Season 2 could just be one cour even, allowing time for the Manga to get more updates.

@hanaenvy Wdym? The anime covered 60 chapters from the manga, Currently There are still 70 unadapted chapters from the manga which is already enough chapters for 30+ anime episodes. It's more than enough for a season 2, Even if they announced it in a few months, Suppose it's a 2 cour like before and near the same quality as season 1. It would take at atleast 2+ years to produce + 7 months of airing. That's almost 3 years. By then the manga will probably have enough materials for a potential season 3 and beyond

I hope it's season 2 but I heard a rumor saying that fukushi is working on a secret project, so chances of Frieren S2 are low

@Dan_ALves One Cour would not work there isn't a great stopping point until chapter 108 or so. That would be 48 chapters and going at the pace of 2 chapters an episode would be 24 episodes. If they did 12 it would stop in a really awkward spot or they would have to cut out the majority or all of the down time between 61-80.

@igloo15 SO it would only make sense to do a 20+ episode season?

@Dan_ALves Yeah unfortunately the next big arc starts on chapter 80 and goes to chapter 104. Season 1 went to chapter 60 so thats only 19 chapters which would be hard to stretch over 12 episodes. Stopping in the middle of the next big arc would make for a really big cliffhanger. They could cut out everything in those 19 chapters and try to adapt the 24 chapters of next arc into 12 episodes but there are some really big things that happen in those 19 chapters.

@igloo15 Maybe do parts, like AoT or Jojo did. Or like Bleach is doing with TYBW.

So what are the odds of getting a S2 announcement here? I doubt they'll announce it in a international event and I'm keeping my expectations low but we'll see what happens tomorrow
