Really disappointed in Runa

Imagine if it turns out that Runa was leading Ryuuto on this entire time and was just playing with his feelings for fun, making her the villain character. She already kind of showed an ugly side to herself by insinuating a break-up just because they don't exactly like the same stuff.

Although, is she upset that they don't really share common interests (which would be petty), or that Ryuuto has become her pet dog who is just trying to please her no matter what? At first she liked how he pretty much STUDIED for their date so that they'd do all the things she liked. But then with the whole poster drama, she was quite disappointed with how Ryuuto chose hers just to make her happy. Maybe she's slowly starting to realize.... that she doesn't want someone who takes advantage of her body like all the other times, but also on the other end of the spectrum, she doesn't want a simp for a boyfriend.

This show is literally mid. I dropped it and maybe will finish it but might not. A lot of things don’t make sense. A) what type of dysfunctional family was Runa raised in where she thinks sex is somehow “normal” at her age B) what types of morons are leaving a hot, kind, and affectionate girl that gives up sex so easily C) why haven’t her “friends” told her to not mess with f**kboys?

It's not "ridiculous", it's biology. Once women start sleeping around, they can't pair bond. And yeah, if you love someone, you'd presumably want to do all the normal things, like, you know, propagate your loved one's genes. If you're in a "relationship", and you're not having sex, or at least moving towards that in the future, you're just friends. Luna's set the bar for men she doesn't care for all that much at 0, yet the guy she likes, the one who's gone above and beyond, gets nothing. I haven't read the LN, but it's not sounding like she's even interested after years of this.

All of this is actually really accurate to real life, and reinforces the point that he should find a better partner.

She's a gal, which has its own (very accurate) stigma of promiscuity. The most confident men, looking to get laid, approach her. Luna, meanwhile, does everything in her power to confirm the rumors, and encouraging more men to sleep with her. If a woman wants to be taken seriously, sleeping around is exactly the wrong way to go about it. Anyone looking for something serious will rightfully look at this train wreck of a human being, and promptly nope out. MC is doing the irrational thing and just ignoring all the rumors, true and false, and trying to enter a serious relationship with her anyway.

Also, sweet? She's a walking drama machine, my man. She just insisted MC get along with her sister, then when he did, and chose something her sister made, she turned around and broke up with him, full in the knowledge that this was all her idea, then started talking to some other guy behind MC's back. Sure, it turned out to be her friend's Ex, and it was to get them back together, but do you not realize how bad all of this looks together? Not to mention she lets her friends treat everyone like shit for no reason. You see what Nichole says and does to her boyfriend without so much as a "You stop that! >:( "?! And then the other one, who tore into some poor fat guy for having the audacity to ask her out without already being the best, most intimate friends, as if they've never even spoken before.

The occasional touching moment doesn't make up for the irrational drama.

It's not just "more", it's "Most". It's the thing that's done right at the end to confirm the relationship. It comes after dating, love, and even marriage. Anything else is putting the cart before the horse. It's so much "more" that we've had laws, and cultural expectations, surrounding it for countless generations. If you're not having sex, or at least moving towards it, you don't have a "genuine relationship"; you're just a security blanket. That she gives it away freely to people she doesn't care about, while MC is sitting around waiting is repulsive. You forget the existence of simps; A relationship without sex isn't a relationship. The only excuse is the period before marriage... if you're not a slut. If you are, you've set the price for sex at 0, then started charging at the gate when the VIP showed up. The man has needs, and after marriage, is obliged to provide for the wife, and share with her all his earthly possessions. He's sworn an oath of loyalty, and fidelity, to this woman, and now you're telling me she just spends her days sleeping in separate beds, and turning him down? She gets the maximum possible investment from the man, from his possessions, to sexual fidelity, and he just watches her from a distance like some kind of delicate vase?

"You're saying you have to eat or else you're not really hungry?" Yeah, when you're at the dinner table, with a plate of food in front of you, I'd say you do.



Nothing. If you're virgins, working towards a healthy marriage, this is the way things should be. Sex can wait until marriage, when you're both ready, and committed. If you've given it to everyone else already? Everything. Less important people got better treatment. Why is the ostensible most important person in your life met with total sexual apathy, and waiting games? The scenario you describe is just a random idealistic version that has little relevance to what's going on in the anime. The amount of misogyny in your every sentence is astounding.

So what if other people got to have sex with Luna? She is also human, who is allowed a lapse of judgment and mistakes, which she regrets. Her behaviour now is about learning to do better, have more respect for herself and find new value in acts, she previously considered mandatory. Going slowly towards it with someone she loves will only make it all more valuable and special in the future for both of them. You judge her for being cheap before while at the same time accusing for not being cheap anymore.

Guess what? People change. And the way Ryuuto accepted her past as past was absolutely healthy way of looking at things, starting a relationship with the person who is before him now, instead of holding any of that against her.

What you're saying is basically she should stay in the same mindset just because it was ok for her before.

Imagine you decide to become a vegetarian, and your friend prepared a dish with meat in it and expects you to eat it just because you were fine with meat before, and you refusing would be offensive to him because he put so much effort into preparing it. This is simply untrue. Asexual people exist, even aromatic people exist, yet they still can form significant relationships with their chosen partners.

If people are incompatible in that regard, they just move on, searching for different partners. If they choose to continue on with the same partner, they should respect their choice too, not hold it against them, pointing fingers at what happened before with previous partners.

The virgin thing? Yeah, I know it's not what's happening in the anime. The anime features the girl who's using MC despite having precisely 0 interest in him sexually. He sits patiently waiting for her to be interested, and, at least from what I'm hearing, she never is. Which, in fairness, is accurate. You don't invest your way into a woman's sexual interest; it's not merchandise you just buy off the shelf. But it rather makes the point that he should find someone who, for starters, actually wants him.



Well, it's gross, for one. And then she could only have started at 14-15, to boot. I could go on for hours, but if you need it explained to you, you're not a man, and probably not interested in hearing about this at this stage of your life.



She's not "going slowly" towards anything. They apparently stay together for years without any contact. And there's a difference between not having sex because you value yourself, and want commitment before you give yourself to someone like that, and not having sex because you're drier than the Sahara. The problem here is simple: She set the price at 0, and MC here is paying for it. His partner is of low quality, and his efforts are better spent with almost literally anyone less slutty, less dramatic, and more interested in him.



I have no interest in this self-serving sophistry. MC is wasting time and effort on a low-quality mate who not only has nothing to offer him, but is so far gone, she'll destroy the relationship at the first sign of trouble (real or imagined).



The point of an analogy is to draw a parallel between two dissimilar things. The key is the parallel. The two things must have something in common. I know they're hard sometimes, but sleeping around, then sticking to a man who keeps investing in you without showing interest has nothing in common with choosing to stop eating meat. In this analogy, Luna very clearly didn't become a vegetarian.

My analogy with regards to the table was to point out that the actions you take reveal what's inside of you. Luna is DTF, because she's a slut. MC doesn't want her to sleep with him out of obligation. Hence the barrier between them sleeping together is her sexual interest in him. If she, like someone at the dinner table, chooses not to take the chance to indulge in the desire (Hunger/Lust), then you can only conclude that none exists. Luna is the eater, the relationship is the table. The food is the completely-willing-but-gentlemanly-and-patient MC, and the Hunger is the Lust.

Notice my problem isn't that she's denying him because she thinks sex is important or whatever, but rather because, if she's not pressed, she can't look at MC as an actual partner. And that's no way to live life.

Didn't say he should. At least as long as it is his choice to build a relationship with her for reasons that she makes him happy in other aspects of life. I imagine he has no problems with waiting, unlike you. I get it, you'd never choose her for a girlfriend, but you are not her boyfriend either.
