All the time I was sure that Runa really fell in love for the first time, but it is obvious that I was deceiving myself. I should have known that this was completely wrong based on the fact that she doesn't want to have sex with Ryuto at all. What finally broke my faith in her love was that I was sure that she was not one of those who would do the offensive “We are different, which means we are not suitable for each other” manipulation. But it seems she just like any other dishonest manipulative girl, who is trying to force everything to her boyfriend. This is especially stupid considering that he has become much less involved in his hobbies since he got a girlfriend. Seems like her only distinguishing feature is that she is a thot, lol. The guys on this show are complete garbage but you are already know it, I guess. All they do is blame themselves for everything that happens, lmao. The show tries to show that even an introverted geek can look cool and date a cute gyaru, but all the main character is trying to do is constantly serve and please his girlfriend, losing his own personality, now he is just a robot programmed to run after his girl and forced to listen to her every breath, that's really pathetic. Damn, he's even completely sacrificed his desire for the sex he's always dreamed of, and it doesn't look like he'll be getting it anytime soon. Does he even breath? P.S. Laughed at the poll in the other thread "Luna vs Maria". Maria is a complete trash, how pathetic do you have to be to sympathize with such a character? P.P.S. I hate Nicole. |

P.S: i also hate Nikoru |

Runa is afraid to be abandoned by Ryuto because that's what happened in all her previous relationships, so she acts in a way that can not being the best, or what we would do, but is her way to try to avoid the suffering of being abandoned. I agree with what you say about Ryuto just saying sorry about everything, but it's his first relationship and he is trying his best |

i am not really happy with how the last episode was but i mean i understand u the part about ryuto i can also understand because many people i know that how they were in their first relationship they tried to please and do this and that for her and forgot about themselves. to be clear i dont blame ryuto because he is a geek all this relationship thingy is brand new for him its a whole new way of life but at the same time i really hate how he rarely speak his mind. and for runa? i like the devoted type we saw at the start and all that but after all what ryuto did for her and all the times he showed pure love u gonna come and say all this things she said in last episode.. like wha? i understand u care about ur sister but at least care enough to think before u say stuff like that to a person who loves u |

They are both still in their teens, it's only natural their relationship won't be perfect and they'd make mistakes. Despite her "experience", for Luna it's the first real relationship too. Even if she fell in love there are still lots of insecurities to untangle. The key is communication, but it seems they're both learning. |

Pretty sure they've done studies where after 3 intimate partners women lose their ability ro pair bond so her being fickle about her love is probably fairly accurate? Also, he's the opposite of the usual guys she goes after so maybe there's some "Ick Factor" with him? At the end of the day when she's already slept around on first dates, you're not getting anything and you don't share the same interests why would you be bothered with all the drama she and her friends make? I also don't know of any guys in reality who are like that when a friend gets a girl. They probably jest about him spending to much time with her but anime just blows it out of proportion. It's like the authors haven't ever had a girlfriend and are just full of pent-up jealousy. |

They're just trying to make drama exist where it shouldn't. We've seen them have a quarrel before, and through good communication, they were able to make up, so where's the communication this time round? I'd much rather sit through 12 episodes of a stress-free relationship with no obstacles standing in the way, compared to adding drama when it's not necessary, just for that cheap 'shock' factor. |

Imagine if it turns out that Runa was leading Ryuuto on this entire time and was just playing with his feelings for fun, making her the villain character. She already kind of showed an ugly side to herself by insinuating a break-up just because they don't exactly like the same stuff. Although, is she upset that they don't really share common interests (which would be petty), or that Ryuuto has become her pet dog who is just trying to please her no matter what? At first she liked how he pretty much STUDIED for their date so that they'd do all the things she liked. But then with the whole poster drama, she was quite disappointed with how Ryuuto chose hers just to make her happy. Maybe she's slowly starting to realize.... that she doesn't want someone who takes advantage of her body like all the other times, but also on the other end of the spectrum, she doesn't want a simp for a boyfriend. |

@BetaMaleUltra The problem isn't really about not sharing common interests, but in the fact that Ryuuto and Maria have common interests, and Maria likes him. That's what the stuffed kitten metaphor was for. Maria threw it away at first just like she refused Ryuuto, but then decided she likes it now, and so Runa said to take better care of it this time. So Runa applies the same logic, thinking it would be best to step down if it makes Maria and Ryuuto happier. It's silly, but it's her way of thinking stemmed from insecurity and belief that she's less deserving of happiness, and that she could be fine with it as long as others are happy. |

I grow so attached to the couple then twists like this crush my feelings hard lmao. At this point I'd rather just be wanting to look at Marin Kitagawa and Wakana Gojo's relationship instead. |

This show is literally mid. I dropped it and maybe will finish it but might not. A lot of things don’t make sense. A) what type of dysfunctional family was Runa raised in where she thinks sex is somehow “normal” at her age B) what types of morons are leaving a hot, kind, and affectionate girl that gives up sex so easily C) why haven’t her “friends” told her to not mess with f**kboys? This anime is just “turn off brain and enjoy the drama” basically. |

My point was what guys were dropping her in the first place. She’s super attractive and affectionate but somehow only attractive f**kboys? Idk I think somewhere along the road someone would’ve stayed with her because she’s super attractive and sweet. It makes boys out to seem like they are sex crazed demons at that age…which is a crazy notion unto itself. This anime should’ve at least taken place in college, I would’ve accepted it then. |

@thunderkitten13 She's a gal, which has its own (very accurate) stigma of promiscuity. The most confident men, looking to get laid, approach her. Luna, meanwhile, does everything in her power to confirm the rumors, and encouraging more men to sleep with her. If a woman wants to be taken seriously, sleeping around is exactly the wrong way to go about it. Anyone looking for something serious will rightfully look at this train wreck of a human being, and promptly nope out. MC is doing the irrational thing and just ignoring all the rumors, true and false, and trying to enter a serious relationship with her anyway. Also, sweet? She's a walking drama machine, my man. She just insisted MC get along with her sister, then when he did, and chose something her sister made, she turned around and broke up with him, full in the knowledge that this was all her idea, then started talking to some other guy behind MC's back. Sure, it turned out to be her friend's Ex, and it was to get them back together, but do you not realize how bad all of this looks together? Not to mention she lets her friends treat everyone like shit for no reason. You see what Nichole says and does to her boyfriend without so much as a "You stop that! >:( "?! And then the other one, who tore into some poor fat guy for having the audacity to ask her out without already being the best, most intimate friends, as if they've never even spoken before. The occasional touching moment doesn't make up for the irrational drama. |

@Remocracy It's not "ridiculous", it's biology. Once women start sleeping around, they can't pair bond. And yeah, if you love someone, you'd presumably want to do all the normal things, like, you know, propagate your loved one's genes. If you're in a "relationship", and you're not having sex, or at least moving towards that in the future, you're just friends. Luna's set the bar for men she doesn't care for all that much at 0, yet the guy she likes, the one who's gone above and beyond, gets nothing. I haven't read the LN, but it's not sounding like she's even interested after years of this. All of this is actually really accurate to real life, and reinforces the point that he should find a better partner. |

Some of you are missing the point that she slept with guys not because she wanted to, but because she thought she had to. She doesn't feel that obligation with Ryuuto, so it's only natural she wouldn't rush with him after that misconception got cleared out on their first date. She only learns to actually listen to her own desires, and the way she treats Ryuuto in that regard is pretty normal at this stage in relationship. |

The fact that she's allowing her friend to treat him like shit, and consistently starts drama over nothing is just the cherry on top guaranteeing there's basically no silver lining to this relationship. |

This is why MC is an idiot for staying with her. The fact that she's allowing her friend to treat him like shit, and consistently starts drama over nothing is just the cherry on top guaranteeing there's basically no silver lining to this relationship.

I don't have much against it if it's well done, but you know there's a red flag waving in front of you when you think "hold on, what the hell is this" pretty early on, after seeing how unrealistic, dumb and cliched a show is that pretends to be "wholesome" with bizarre promiscious plot element serving as its story's anchor. Bah, I guess some people follow a weird definition of wholesomeness. ;pAny time an author tries to write a slut as some genuinely kind, sensitive character that just needs love, you know they have no idea how Human relationships work, and can safely skip. But whatever. If they enjoy the show, I'm happy for them. I didn't enjoy it myself. What I said earlier, and several other things I mentioned in my review, made me drop the series just after three episodes. |

It's my personal opinion that I would never want to have sex with my true soulmate because sex is "primal" and I would want to treat the one I truly love better than that so honestly I can kind of see why Runa might not want to have sex with him. Love is more pure and passionate than lust and I'd like to not mix the two

That is precisely the wrong answer. It's factually incorrect, and I'm thankful that you almost certainly don't actually believe that. Luna's attitude is toxic, through and through. And MC is too blinded by her being his first girlfriend to see he's being used. The only upshot here is that since it's manga, she's not going around sleeping with other men while running back to him for safety.

@HyperlinkBlocked That’s assuming that sex itself somehow qualifies as "more" than genuine relationships where she discovers feelings and eventually does it of love rather than obligation. |

@Ten It's not just "more", it's "Most". It's the thing that's done right at the end to confirm the relationship. It comes after dating, love, and even marriage. Anything else is putting the cart before the horse. It's so much "more" that we've had laws, and cultural expectations, surrounding it for countless generations. If you're not having sex, or at least moving towards it, you don't have a "genuine relationship"; you're just a security blanket. That she gives it away freely to people she doesn't care about, while MC is sitting around waiting is repulsive. If she's so burned out on sex, that she doesn't want to sleep with MC, even after years of dating, and confirming that he is, in fact, "the one", she's toxic, and MC needs to find someone better. |

@HyperlinkBlocked What years of dating? It's only been 4 months. And she already said she wants to be his wife and have lots of kids. Besides, MC refused to have "just sex" choosing everything else the relationship can offer. The fact she respected his decision to move slower isn't a toxic behaviour, it's called natural progression. They'll do it when they both want it and be ready, not because of some other nonsense like expectations or mythical time limit. |

@Ten Unless the people talking about the LN are lying, they get to college with no progress. And, unless I'm remembering wrong, she's expressed a lack of interest in having sex. None of what's going on is optimal, because the right answer was to not be a slut in the first place. Now we're making the best of a bad situation. Mc, on the other hand, is trying to be a gentleman to a woman that hasn't earned it, but also, he's not actually opposed to sex- he's opposed to having sex out of obligation. |

@Remocracy You forget the existence of simps; A relationship without sex isn't a relationship. The only excuse is the period before marriage... if you're not a slut. If you are, you've set the price for sex at 0, then started charging at the gate when the VIP showed up. Like, did nobody teach you what the entire point of intersex relationships is in the first place? It's not to sit around holding hands, I'll tell you that right now. |

Remocracy said: Let me get this straight, even if you are a virgin, once you get married you have to offer sex or else you don't really love them? Now that sounds like a pile of bullshit Yeah. It's literally the point. Failure to consummate a marriage has been grounds for annulment for at least a millennium. Think about the arrangement for two seconds and you'll see the issue: The man has needs, and after marriage, is obliged to provide for the wife, and share with her all his earthly possessions. He's sworn an oath of loyalty, and fidelity, to this woman, and now you're telling me she just spends her days sleeping in separate beds, and turning him down? She gets the maximum possible investment from the man, from his possessions, to sexual fidelity, and he just watches her from a distance like some kind of delicate vase? "You're saying you have to eat or else you're not really hungry?" Yeah, when you're at the dinner table, with a plate of food in front of you, I'd say you do. Remocracy said: Also what's wrong with just going on dates, holding hands, and kissing? Nothing. If you're virgins, working towards a healthy marriage, this is the way things should be. Sex can wait until marriage, when you're both ready, and committed. If you've given it to everyone else already? Everything. Less important people got better treatment. Why is the ostensible most important person in your life met with total sexual apathy, and waiting games? We can talk about how it's her feelings, and she doesn't control them, but this is an issue exclusive to her; every other non-slut person on the planet shows a healthy amount of sexual interest in their significant other. |

@HyperlinkBlocked Wow. "Man has needs", how about getting off the high horse and touching some grass? The scenario you describe is just a random idealistic version that has little relevance to what's going on in the anime. The amount of misogyny in your every sentence is astounding. So what if other people got to have sex with Luna? She is also human, who is allowed a lapse of judgment and mistakes, which she regrets. Her behaviour now is about learning to do better, have more respect for herself and find new value in acts, she previously considered mandatory. Going slowly towards it with someone she loves will only make it all more valuable and special in the future for both of them. You judge her for being cheap before while at the same time accusing for not being cheap anymore. Guess what? People change. And the way Ryuuto accepted her past as past was absolutely healthy way of looking at things, starting a relationship with the person who is before him now, instead of holding any of that against her. What you're saying is basically she should stay in the same mindset just because it was ok for her before. Imagine you decide to become a vegetarian, and your friend prepared a dish with meat in it and expects you to eat it just because you were fine with meat before, and you refusing would be offensive to him because he put so much effort into preparing it. Sounds like a shitty friend to me who doesn't really care about the personal change you are going through. The virgin thing? Yeah, I know it's not what's happening in the anime. The anime features the girl who's using MC despite having precisely 0 interest in him sexually. He sits patiently waiting for her to be interested, and, at least from what I'm hearing, she never is. Which, in fairness, is accurate. You don't invest your way into a woman's sexual interest; it's not merchandise you just buy off the shelf. But it rather makes the point that he should find someone who, for starters, actually wants him. Ten said: So what if other people got to have sex with Luna? Well, it's gross, for one. And then she could only have started at 14-15, to boot. I could go on for hours, but if you need it explained to you, you're not a man, and probably not interested in hearing about this at this stage of your life. Ten said: Going slowly towards it with someone she loves will only make it all more valuable and special in the future for both of them. You judge her for being cheap before while at the same time accusing for not being cheap anymore. She's not "going slowly" towards anything. They apparently stay together for years without any contact. And there's a difference between not having sex because you value yourself, and want commitment before you give yourself to someone like that, and not having sex because you're drier than the Sahara. The problem here is simple: She set the price at 0, and MC here is paying for it. His partner is of low quality, and his efforts are better spent with almost literally anyone less slutty, less dramatic, and more interested in him. Ten said: Guess what? People change. And the way Ryuuto accepted her past as past was absolutely healthy way of looking at things, starting a relationship with the person who is before him now, instead of holding any of that against her. I have no interest in this self-serving sophistry. MC is wasting time and effort on a low-quality mate who not only has nothing to offer him, but is so far gone, she'll destroy the relationship at the first sign of trouble (real or imagined). Ten said: Imagine you decide to become a vegetarian, and your friend prepared a dish with meat in it and expects you to eat it just because you were fine with meat before, and you refusing would be offensive to him because he put so much effort into preparing it. Sounds like a shitty friend to me who doesn't really care about the personal change you are going through. The point of an analogy is to draw a parallel between two dissimilar things. The key is the parallel. The two things must have something in common. I know they're hard sometimes, but sleeping around, then sticking to a man who keeps investing in you without showing interest has nothing in common with choosing to stop eating meat. In this analogy, Luna very clearly didn't become a vegetarian. My analogy with regards to the table was to point out that the actions you take reveal what's inside of you. Luna is DTF, because she's a slut. MC doesn't want her to sleep with him out of obligation. Hence the barrier between them sleeping together is her sexual interest in him. If she, like someone at the dinner table, chooses not to take the chance to indulge in the desire (Hunger/Lust), then you can only conclude that none exists. Luna is the eater, the relationship is the table. The food is the completely-willing-but-gentlemanly-and-patient MC, and the Hunger is the Lust. Notice my problem isn't that she's denying him because she thinks sex is important or whatever, but rather because, if she's not pressed, she can't look at MC as an actual partner. And that's no way to live life. Ten said: This is simply untrue. Asexual people exist, even aromatic people exist, yet they still can form significant relationships with their chosen partners. Right... Ten said: No one owes men sex, Except their wives, of course. That's the one person who was like "I SWEAR IN FRONT OF THIS PRIEST, EVERYONE WE KNOW, AND THE LORD HIMSELF, IF YOU CHEAT ON ME, I WILL TAKE EVERYTHING FROM YOU". At that point, she took on the responsibility. Ten said: If people are incompatible in that regard, they just move on, searching for different partners. Yes, he should find a better girl. At least we have some common ground at the end here. :) |

Yes, he should find a better girl. At least we have some common ground at the end here. :)
HyperlinkBlocked said: Yes, he should find a better girl. At least we have some common ground at the end here. :) Didn't say he should. At least as long as it is his choice to build a relationship with her for reasons that she makes him happy in other aspects of life. I imagine he has no problems with waiting, unlike you. I get it, you'd never choose her for a girlfriend, but you are not her boyfriend either. With all that we've been shown so far, Ryuuto doesn't really have anything to complain or be disappointed about Luna. I will refrain from replying to anything else, because it would be rather pointless. |

I expected Runa to be an immature young woman who suffers because of an ideal vision of love she looks for but is not able to reach. I expected Ryuuto to be an immature young man who dates Runa and feels insecure because he is not able to provide the emotional support she needs. I expected Runa not being virgin and Ryuuto being virgin to appear relevant during the story but, as the story develops, to turn out to be less relevant. The story developed the way I expected. I do not expect Runa and Ryuuto to remain together unless he grows up. There is no disappointment coming from Runa and Ryuuto. |

@Ten He's making a poor choice, and the show wants us to believe otherwise. Thus the controversy. |

By the looks of things and how this is received. There’s no season 2 😂 the author really fumbled with how they wrote Ryuuto and the bombshell of this show ending with Ryuuto and Maria dancing together. My God it’s like the author was doing ass pulls to write this story. They had so many options developing Ryuuto as character and MC and give him substance but hey… whatever sells I guess |

Look how she's getting with MC here. If you were the kind of guy that wanted a real romance, you would have left her the moment she threw herself at you on day 1; that's just a bad sign. That’s kind of the point isn’t it. Like how she learns not all guys just think with thier dick. …What? My whole point was that the anime itself tries to say that exact same thing. It makes it out as if it’s normal for a teenage girl to sleep around. Most girls only have 1-2 partners TOP in high school. It’s during college they experience new partners and experiences. For most adults, the number of partners is lower than 15. The fact Runa has just had sex so casually is really weird. I’m all for creative expression but the show is not a fantasy, so it’s literally impossible for me to suspend my disbelief that a young teenaged girl would be sleeping around so much and nobody would be alarmed, or her “friends”wouldn’t try to step in and help her figure out what true affection and love is. The notion that “some guy’s don’t just think with their Peter” is not even a good point to make because 1) this takes place in a school setting where most teenage boys are more concerned with games and movies than sleeping around, and the ones that are interested in that stuff usually don’t go crazy about it unless there’s seriously something wrong with them and 2) it’s statistically impossible Runa didn’t mean one single guy that was willing to take her seriously, and it took a nerd losing a bet to show her what true romance is all about. It’s not poetic, it’s literally depressing lmfao. |

HyperlinkBlocked said: @thunderkitten13 She's a gal, which has its own (very accurate) stigma of promiscuity. Sure, it turned out to be her friend's Ex, but do you not realize how bad all of this looks together? Not to mention she lets her friends treat everyone like shit for no reason. You see what Nichole says and does to her boyfriend without so much as a "You stop that! >:( "?! And then the other one, who tore into some poor fat guy for having the audacity to ask her out without already being the best, most intimate friends, as if they've never even spoken before. The occasional touching moment doesn't make up for the irrational drama. These aren’t men they are CHILDREN lmao, like literal teenagers. Your statement about Runa sleeping around makes zero sense because she herself says she was taking relationships seriously and not just sleeping around. You are literally undermining the sanctity of her character by saying she was just whoring herself out lol. I also disagree that boys (NOT men) would want to take a risk with Runa because she’s a pretty girl that is well liked and has a pleasing personality. The anime even shows us her speaking out loud during class, stating her opinion with confidence, and generally having an aura of joy and fun. She must have met someone along the way that loved her charm and personality…and if she’s willing to just sleep around as a sign of affection? That is literally waifu material, childhood gal friend becomes Gal waifu trope. The anime wants us to ignore this, but I can’t because both men and women want a stable partner that is attractive and confident, and Runa possess ALL of these qualities. The second part of your point, I don’t even feel the need to counter because I agree it’s just bad writing lmao. Like, the characters are all assholes but we are meant to accept if for some reason. Runa already pulled this stunt before by throwing a hissy fit with him about asking to her sister behind her back (despite him rejecting her advances). My question is, if Runa herself says “I always try my best to be loving and caring in my relationships” but then turns out to be a total bitch…who am I supposed to sympathize with here? The show REALLY wants me to feel sorry for Runa when she’s crying about not being able to have any first time experiences with Ryu…well, where tf were your friends to help you not be victimized by a bunch of f-boys? What pisses me off more is this show DESPERATELY wants to be mature but it just doesn’t work. It SHOULD HAVE taken place in college. I can’t take anything serious anymore lmfao, like this poor teenage girl has been neglected by practically everyone and now she has intense sexual and emotional trauma, and she’s morphing into a toxic and naive mess. Meanwhile, this poor nerd only wanted to get with her because he was excited to date a beautiful gyaru. I have a hard time sympathizing with him as well because he has his own creepy moments of lusting after Runa…this is not how teenagers act! Lmao most teenagers are not loose and have some self respect for themselves…but college is DIFFERENT when teenagers become young adults and they explore their sexuality. This anime actually would’ve been amazing if it just had taken place in high school. ALL of the drama would’ve worked then. Anyways, I hope I don’t come off as angry towards you lmao I’m enjoying this train wreck even if I hate it. |

HyperlinkBlocked said: @Remocracy It's not "ridiculous", it's biology. My only disagreement with this is that if she actually is setting the bar higher for Ryuuto, their intimacy will actually be much greater IF Runa doesn’t sleep around. When they finally become intimate, the bonding may be much greater than what she’s experienced in the past because psychologically she is the one that set the boundaries of intimacy. I would disagree if they had broken up and had gotten together again, though. |

My whole point is it’s not normal for teenagers to rampantly sleep around with 10 plus people. According to google, the median number of partners for 18-19 year olds is 5 with a high of 15. If you are sleeping with more than 5 people as a TEEN, you have issues. Also: https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/mm6042a8.htm 2. This point is stupid. Ryu even says that Runa is adored by everyone, super popular and the boys love her. My whole point was that the probability that a good guy would want to take her seriously and have a meaningful relationship is high. The high body count is actually not even a problem considering she continues to get into relationships with so many guys. She literally stated she does not sleep around outside relationships…are we watching the same show? How am I paying more attention than you and I don’t even like it lmao. 3. You are using real world logic when everyone knows Gals in anime are always depicted as either beloved tomboys or hardcore badasses. There’s literally never an in between. According to the show and what the other characters have said, people really like Runa and are attracted to her beauty and personality. 4. You SERIOUSLY don’t believe that Runa is waifu material? She is beautiful, affectionate, sensitive, and is willing to be physically intimate with someone she likes. I don’t agree with being serial flirts, but meaningful relationships built around sex is different. And even if a guy knew she slept with like 2 or 3 guys beforehand, that still wouldn’t really be a dealbreaker…but the author wrote her out to be a serial sleeper, which is really sad, because they are normalizing something that I’m actuality is really bad for one’s psychology and can create issues with self-esteem, self-worth, and body image that can lead to trauma developing. My whole issue is Runa is a beautiful and sweet girl that any guy would be happy to take seriously. She’s literally a unicorn. 5. Confidence is NOT narcissistic. You must be really immature or ignorant on human psychology because confidence is attractive to literally every human being in every single setting, professional and casual. Everyone wants to be around the rock; nobody wants to be around someone that pees their pants during a presentation. It’s not like we don’t sympathize with people who have anxiety and low self-esteem, but we generally do not enjoy their company…that’s why therapists exist. Runa does not exhibit any signs of narcissism. In fact, she was the one that did the most in her relationships because she genuinely cared about the other person and wanted them to be happy. A narcissistic person would probably cheat or dump trouble makers flat out. 6. Actually, she was victimized. She was exploited by her boyfriends for pleasure and clout, and her friends completely abandoned her by not being there for her and educating her on what healthy relationships should look like. She’s a victim of exploitation and neglect, full stop. 6. You need to work on your reading comprehension because this thought is one that is coherent and consistent with my topic sentence. Runa was exploited/neglected ———> morphing into naive and toxic mess. |

thunderkitten13 said: I have zero idea what your rebuttal is, so I’m ignoring lmao. That you're taking contradictory stances. Is she sleeping around, or is she "taking relationships seriously"? thunderkitten13 said: This point is stupid. Ryu even says that Runa is adored by everyone, super popular and the boys love her. So her boyfriend says she's adored, and that boys "love her", as in they show interest in the slut that puts out on the first date. Bad writing aside, this doesn't sound good on its face. thunderkitten13 said: You are using real world logic when everyone knows Gals in anime are always depicted as either beloved tomboys or hardcore badasses. There’s literally never an in between. According to the show and what the other characters have said, people really like Runa and are attracted to her beauty and personality. The show is trying to be a grounded drama, and despite telling us everyone loves her, they all instantly assume she's cheating in the worst possible way every time literally anyone sees her in the vicinity of another man. Older man at the beach? And her friends are with her?! She must be fucking him. Younger man in Ikebukuro? Can't be a regular affair; she must be milking him for money. And these are from the people that know her. Does this sound like someone who's well-liked, with a stellar reputation? thunderkitten13 said: 4. My whole issue is Runa is a beautiful and sweet girl that any guy would be happy to take seriously. She’s literally a unicorn. I'm starting to understand what's happening here: You're conflicted. You see Luna as this bright, sweet, pretty girl, and you're having trouble reconciling this with the fact that she is objectively toxic. In one breath you extoll the fact that she'd hypothetically sleep with you, and be sweet sometimes, and in the next, you acknowledge that she's fucking more men from age 15 to 16 (Best-case scenario), than some college-aged women have. Sorry, but being willing to sleep with you on the first date isn't a good thing, because it means she's willing to do the same with everyone else (As she did, and as they do). There's Commitment, Low Body Count, and Easy Sex; you can only pick two. MC chose Commitment, and Easy Sex, which means he got a slut. I get the fantasy of having a woman who's eager to jump your bones, and yours alone, but that's not how that works. And I've got news for you: If she's slept with even one man, that's too many. Divorce rates basically spike the moment a woman loses her virginity to someone other than her husband. If she's slept with two or three, she's barely worth keeping around, and if she's slept with 10+, at that age, you're wasting your time. You're trying to push down the inherent problem with her history by thinking back to that on time she said she wanted to fall in love, or that one time she said a nice thing to MC, or whatever you can to avoid the reality that, even without the ridiculous history, she's hysterical, she doesn't listen, she doesn't value her boyfriend, and she's looking for the first excuse she can to cause drama and break up. You've acknowledged all of the above. If your idea of a unicorn is a hysterical drama queen slut who lets her friends abuse everyone whenever the fancy strikes them, you need to re-evaluate your framework for assessing women; if this is your "Gold-standard" unicorn woman, I can't begin to imagine the horror that is your idea of the "average woman", and what you expect her to do in a relationship. thunderkitten13 said: Confidence is NOT narcissistic. And then you say shit like this, and I wonder if you're a guy or not. Women find "Confidence" attractive in attractive men. Men don't care. thunderkitten13 said: Actually, she was victimized. She was exploited by her boyfriends for pleasure and clout, and her friends completely abandoned her by not being there for her and educating her on what healthy relationships should look like. She’s a victim of exploitation and neglect, full stop. She's responsible for herself. Nobody made her sleep with anyone; she offered. That we can also blame everyone else around her for not telling her to not be dumb is just a bonus. thunderkitten13 said: You need to work on your reading comprehension because this thought is one that is coherent and consistent with my topic sentence. Runa was exploited/neglected ———> morphing into naive and toxic mess. It's internally consistent, but it also contradicts the whole "LUNA IS A LITERAL UNICORN AND SWEET AND ANYONE WOULD BE LUCKY TO COMMIT TO HER!" |
