looking at your taste, I think I can give you a few:

parasyte is a maybe, since psychological stories with focus on a message seem to be a hit or miss for you.

akudama drive should be a great one. it is edgy, but it's also self aware of that and is my personal favorite action anime.

and my last suggestion is the ONLY season of the promised neverland, since it's the only shounen season 1 that I think was better than this first season of CSM.

attack on titan, vinland saga, jujutsu kaisen, dororo, fate unlimited bladeworks+zero, made in abyss, noragami. those are a few that, in my mind, have a similar ratio of cool story/cool characters/great action/ great animation and they aren’t a billion episodes.

sorry I missed parasyte and tpn since I looked at the affinity.

I went through it pretty fast and for some reason I didn't think to look for the japanese titles.

but you haven't seen akudama drive, and tbh that was my main suggestion anyways.

I said if you can't explain why it's boring, then it's not because of an "issue" it's because the show just isn't for you.

like If I watch something and think it's boring because the plot is generic, then you can tell me the plot gets more unique and if that ends up being the case, my problem gets solved.

but if you find something boring just because, it just means it's not your kind of show.

which Is why I said you probably shouldn't watch it.

I can see the comparisons. All the demon/devil stuff and fighting. It felt similar to JJK in the beginning, but the focus on Denji, his dreams, and relationships separated it from JJK.

I love every anime on that list but I don’t think noragami I really fits. Love the show don’t get me wrong but I also don’t think it was as great as stuff like Vinland saga and aot

Sonny boy was fucking awesome, but you said you didn’t like psychological anime. It’s also not really tho.

It’s this very psychedelic show that feels like it’s willing to go literally anywhere at any given point. Even if you don’t understand what’s happening from time to time, I feel like it’s cool to see the way the world begins to become more and more distorted.

This exactly! I don’t understand why I’ve been seeing so many posts asking for recommendations lately with absolutely no details on the op’s taste / genre / preference. This would help avoid so much repetition and forums being flooded with “I already watched it” comments.

And maybe it’s just me but I’ve seen such low averages for anime ratings? I don’t personally rate the shows I watch but having a rating ~5, is a problem with your anime choices not the media as a whole.

Just my opinion though.. maybe I’m not enough of a weeb to “get it” lol

Our anime taste seems to differ quite a lot, so I have no idea what you'd enjoy.
Dorohedoro has crazy characters and a lot of gore, it's 100% CGI though. Sometimes a little unnerving but I feel it was more lighthearted.
Re:Zero has this unsettling atmosphere similar to what you might have felt in some CSM episodes, but it's very different otherwise.

I can't think of anything else that would be even relatively close that you haven't seen.
