Idk i feel like the creator just went look those two are girl and boy they must be in a relationship . Personally i just don’t like it every other pairing with the main cast is good but natsu and lucy just dont belong together. Natsu if anyone should end up with lisanna and lucy i dont see her with anyone in the anime.

Only ships I acknowledge are gruvia, jerza, elfgreen, zervis (the best ship), gajevy (the second best ship) and fraxus (laxus and freed)

I don't think they are even a couple in what's been animated yet.
But I guess, since this is literally main girl and main boy, Mashima slapped them together just to silence the shippers.
Honestly, I'd prefer them to remain just friends.

Natsu and Lucy feel like just best friends and buddies and not a couple so yeah I understand why you said it feels forced, moreover Natsu himself seems asexual.

I respectfully disagree. I think that there's genuine affection from Lucy towards Natsu but he's just fucking oblivious. That said, when he thinks she died he turned into a demon where when his "dad" died he went on walk about.

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Well Forced or Not I want to see them Together Cause all of the Fights and moments they went through they have done soon much thing's together it won't be cool if they end up with someone else cause with whom they gonna end up with? Lissana? we see her very few time's it won't be cool cause like i said Natsu and Lucy Went through thing's together they have soo many memories together it will only make sense if they end up together. It Feel's right cause there is no one else to end up with. Imagine being end up with someone u barely even know in manga/Anime. As we Know Natsu and Lucy Characters has been developed alot So maybe They just Feel right to be Shipped :)

Kinda? I don't ship them that hard-or no, I see them as friends but maybe super a little bit more than that? I think the romance between them is not hinted that much because of their personality, priorities and how their interaction is mostly executed but maybe we'll get to see more. I'm not against shipping them in the first place.

Best ships for me are jerza and zerviz haha
