Examples being Ep 3 and eps 20-23 can easily be adapted in 2-3 episodes. 25 episodes would mean dragging it out. 21-24 episodes are enough to adapt it completely and that's assuming 23 min episodes with OP/ED. This is Re: Zero so blow away some of the OP/ED and extend runtime to around 25-26 mins. That would decrease it to 18-21 episodes. WITHOUT cut content. |

You are overestimating its length quite a bit. |

| If all the volumes get adapted each in four episodes, wouldn't that be twenty episodes? If a certain volume is adapted in five episodes or more, it would increase at least two episodes. There are still room for interludes and the time skip, and even the beginning of arc 6 as a "to be continued" moment. |

The reason it was 25 episodes was because episode 1 was still adapting from the last volume of arc 3. It's possible the studio which will be animating season 3 will do a split cour of maybe 22 episodes or 21 episodes because a volume or two could use an extra episode from the original 4 to complete it. First cour 11 episodes, second 10 or they just might air it all in one run, which I believe will be the case. If they manage to make it 25 episodes you can expect a dialogue filled adaptation where they try to minimize action for more dialogue to allow for less animation resulting in a shortened action adaptation which is EXACTLY what I fear, or they might do that with a sum of 22 episodes! They kind of half-assed the action in the arc 4 animation. |
