Funnily enough i thought i loved shonen, but its just occured to me i just love the training/development aspect of it. This must be why HxH is my all time favourite. Love isekei and just anime anime where the MC climbs a form of ladder whether that be through world conquest or getting stronger/ more respected like narutos dream of becoming hokage. Anything along those lines, with lots of episodes xD seeing as im in isolation for the next 10 days would be so so appreciated thanks in advance!!

yuyu hakusho is basically one big tournament arc. and it's written by the same dude who wrote HXH. fair warning tho it's very old.

if you want to be experimental watch this Chinese Donghua: Douluo Dalu ~ it has about 130 episodes of interesting training arcs, tournament arcs, martial arts academy and even really intense emotional moments.
