Fans of code geass,i have a question

I just finished episode 2 and there was a flashback scene where it shows the father of Lelouch erasing his memories,now heres the question:

"Why din't his father kill instead of erasing"

If you stop to thinking about it,R2 won't even happend.

And even if it happend the protagonist will another person

(I maybe be talking trash, but i just curious)

Anime logic. try not to overthink it. Lots of convenient things happen in this series. heck, what are the chances that the person who just happens to find the truck with CC in it also just happens to be the exiled prince?

I assumed that he still saw some use in Lelouch. He is talented and likely chose the slightly more benign option of not killing him.

There is a reason why he didn't kill Lelouch, it will come up later in the show.

Remember his father reaction i thin in ep. 22 of the first series? "So you finally gave that order Lelouch!" or something similar, and it's in general evident that whatever Charles intend to do involve Lelouch in some way. But as others said, just continue the series

It's best not to overthink r2. The beautiful thing about r2 is that it is similar to an acrobatic tripping during a stunt, somersaulting three times but somehow landing perfectly on all feet. It's a mess of a season that somehow wraps everything up perfectly

It's a spoiler but there is a reason and it is not simple plot armor and i'm seriously questioning if the people who said that even watched the show.
