The movie comes out in January in my country and I wonder if I can watch it without being up to date. I'm currently watching season 3 and my friend is watching season 2.

Thanks ! :)

I think it should be fine.
It’s standalone and doesn’t really affect the main story. All the movies have been like that so far :)

You can. The only real spoilery stuff in the movie would be some of the characters being better with their quirks and using some moves you haven't seen them yet learn.

You can, but you'll probably get spoiled for the new moves and attacks the characters develop and learn and also the Pro Heroes the students do their respective work studies under. Btw there's an episode in the 5th Season which is kind of a teaser for the movie, it directly connects with the plot of the movie.

I see. But maybe I will be up to date in January, do I need to watch the season 5 ? The movie is released at the same time at when the season 5 is broadcasted…

Thanks anyways for all your response! ^^

You CAN but if you want to stay spoiler free I’d advise against it. Deku discovers something truly unexpected in season 5 and it’s best to just not watch it.

I see and I suppose that this thing is in movie ? So you're advicing me to watch all the 5 seasons before watching the movie ?

Yeah. It’s a lot but if you don’t want to watch all of that, and you just want to watch the series for the movie then don’t bother.
