How long did it take for you to catch up with One Piece?

How long did it take you from starting the first episode to catching up with the anime (wherever it was at the time)?

As someone 20 episodes in One Piece, I've accepted that I'm probably not going to catch up with One Piece's 1002 episodes and counting. However, I'm curious how long it took you guys from starting the first episode to catching up to the anime (wherever it was at the time).

I'm watching one piece at a slow pace cuz it ll take 4 more months to complete my sixth form. Once I'm done with that I'll catch with the time in 3-4 months.

It took me 10 weeks (2+ months) to catch up from ep. 1 to ep. 997.

There were times where I just read the manga, for example: Skypiea, Thriller Bark, Amazon Lily, Reverie. Currently I'm caught up with the manga (chapter 1034).

Advice: Take your time!

Took me 7 months just to get to 573 lol op is off and on for me I'm never to hooked to binge it and sometimes after an arc is over ill watch another anime and take a break from it needless to say I won't be catching up anytime soon

Sincere advice from someone who binged one piece till ep 895: TAKE YOUR TIME!

Rather than rushing through to 'catch up', I wholeheartedly suggest taking your time, may it be months or even a year/years, and enjoy each episode. Once you catch up, waiting one week for one episode is dreadful (especially for wano arc where there are so many minutes of fillers in each episode).

It took me some time to adjust to waiting one week for one episode. I was so used to binge-ing that it made me so impatient. Also one piece is a looong anime which is known for it's incredible world building. If you want to grasp an understanding of the one piece world, you will need to patiently watch

I suggest you to read the manga..the pacing is better imo and ofc no filler,Just watch the fight scenes on the internet if you want to.I've already at skypiea arc rn and it take less then week.for now East Blue and Alabasta Arc is so far beyond my expectations it just so well written

at the time the weekly episodes were on 913 and I needed 1 month and 3 days. There was times that I watched 56 episodes non stop, never skipped fillers and yeah that's about it. One of my greatest achievements in anime related things.

It took me deadass 78 days. I switched to the manga for Skypiea, Thriller Bark(I watched the last few eps too coz yk 'Nothing happened'), Fishman Island & like 25% of Dressrosa. (based on the fans' opinion itself). Also, I go to college so ofc I lacked too much free time. I missed watching the 1000 ep live by like 60 eps, so Ep 1001 was the one where I 'caught up'.
