Thoughts on the dub?

I generally watch anime subbed, but I watched this one dubbed since it's a comedy and I prefer watching comedies dubbed. I've heard some complaints about this dub, but I quite enjoyed it. Jerry Jewell's performance for Saiki was excellent; he nailed the deadpan humor in my opinion. I also liked the sidecharacters' voices, like Kaidou's and Nendou's--both were very dynamic and memorable. Plus, the scripting was absolutely hilarious. I'm going to switch to the sub for the second season, since I couldn't find a dub for it, but I thought this dub was great while it lasted. I'm curious to hear others' opinions, though. So, what are your thoughts on the dub?

I watched the first season dubbed as well and I think it was pretty good. However it was missing Saiki's iconic 'yare yare' LOL😂. And overall I think Kamiya hiroshi totally nailed it with his voice, so ultimately I prefer the Japanese cast.

My friends said the dub was really good. But I watched this anime subbed before they watched it, so I’m not sure

The right mindset when watching an anime is hoping that it will break your top 10

The English cast is absolutely stellar for this show, great cast, great direction, and great scripting. I'm not sure of the VA but specifically the guy that does Hairo absolutely nailed it, especially considering he's a pretty secondary character. Teruhashi and Kurumi are also fantastic, but honestly I think the whole cast is great, those three just tend to stand out to me

I watched first 10 episodes of both dub & sub to see what's better and i found Dub cast are decent to understand while the enjoyment was in fast paced Japanese cast. So, i watched in sub.
Well it's all depends on one's preference either he good at understanding slangs in dub or got sharingan to enjoy the show in sub.

Dubs okay, fully agree with the other posters that say it's not the same unless you get saiki's "yare yare".

Season 1 dub was amazing and very funny I was bit upset they didn’t dub season 2 but the sub was also really funny especially the yare yare, though I didn’t watch reawakened in dub because it didn’t have the original dub voices

im also more a sub kinda person but i watched a few clips of the dub and i quite liked it lol. definitely one of the few good dubs for anime

I prefer the dub, I like the fast pacing dialogue in dubbed because it adds more comedy and charm into it. When I first watched the dubbed I imagine Diesel Patches voicing Saiki so that added more points to my enjoyment hahahaha.

Both are good but the Sub goes way to fast for me. It takes me a long time to get through 1 episode. I have to rewind it back when I missed something.

The Saiki K season 1 dub was absolutely golden. I was disappointed to find out that season 2 did not continue the dub because once you are familiar with watching a show in dub it is hard to switch to the sub voices halfway through. I was excited for Re-awakened though because it is also in dub but to my disappointment, the dub voice actors had changed. Inconsistency with dubbing is the only issue I have with the show.

I haven’t watch the dub but I have heard it and it’s really good. I normally don’t like dub bc I think the original voices are better but this was surprisingly better than any dub I have heard before. I like both sub and dub when I watched Saiki K.
