How much content is left for them to adapt?

I'm not a manga reader, but I was under the impression that Mob Psycho I and II had already adapted most of the chapters. Can someone who's read the manga give me a good idea of how many chapters are left unadapted?

Sure, 10 chapters, but some of them have 100+ pages, not even counting the .1, .2, ... chapters, so all in all i think they amount to 4 volumes or so.

There are almost 70 chapters worth of manga to adapt. A lot of Mob chapters have chapters in them. I believe chapter 100 has over 15 chapters in it alone. So yeah, I believe there is not only enough material for a s3 but maybe even a movie final.

Not enough for 12 episodes, and if I remember correctly it goes straight to the finale after the ending of season 2 ending, so maybe a few episodes of anime original to break in to a new season and lack of enough content

Nah, there are 2.5 arcs remaining IIRC, and both full arcs are more than enough to pad out at least 4 episodes each. Maybe not quite enough for 12 episodes, but if they choose a shortened season (say 10 episodes) they could be golden.

For context, they wanted to end on 100 chapters, so the last dozen or so are really, really, really long. Feels almost dishonest to refer to them as "just 10 chapters." Plenty of content to adapt.

According to MAL season 2 ended at the start of vol. 13 and MP100 manga has 16 volumes in total iirc.
Either season 3 will have less episodes or they might adapt the spin-off manga Reigen as well.

There’s 4 volumes left. First 2 seasons each adapted 6 volumes, but they skipped some smaller details (little bits of dialogue, they changed some scenes, nothing too big or anything). If they were to adapt this with perfect pacing and no cut/added content, it could definitely fit around 10-12 episodes.

this is my two cents on this. i asked a similar question on reddit and one replied saying there are only 4 volumes left to adapt. and seeing how each season adapted about 6.5-7 volumes of manga we can gladly say that season 3 is its last season
