They still need to do the Special Recon Mission, so that's why they are outside the Republic's area. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not a LN reader but here is how I interpreted it:

The Republic sent them on a suicide special mission to destroy the main base of the enemy. The 86 squad already knew this was going to happen yet they accepted their fate.

They didn't leave from the start because then they wouldn't get any supplies from the Republic. Now that the 86 squad left on this special mission, they are limited in terms of supplies.

They can't leave because they don't get the supplies to leave in the first place. Only once they are assigned their final mission, which is bound to be at a 100 percent mortality rate, do the republic prepare them with the necessary material to go out and cross the border.

They are not leaving the Republic, remember the special recon order: going into the depths of legion territory until they die if they go back they'll get executed.

the mission is just to destroy the sheepherd(shin brother) after that the mission arleady success but the spearhead leave the 86 that's mean they leave for another reason and not beacause special mission

That is Shin's goal not the squadron mission-special recon order:going into the depths of legion territory until they die and they did not leave the republic, they have to move forward because that's the only thing they can do going back means death by execution.

Then why lena crying? if she know that is a mission why lena try to not let them go?

She can't stop the mission since the order is made by the higher ups that's why in ep8 she goes to her uncle but it didn't work since his uncle is on the side of his country. That's why shin told lena that you don't need to contact us anymore in ep8 because of the mission.

There is a scene that Theo say " it has been half a month since special recon mission " so i thought that they leave after completing the mission and they leave 86 is not part of special recon mission

I recommend watching the beginning of episode 8 again. The mission is unlimited duration and they didn't complete anything. All they did was accomplish Shin's goal of burying his brother and that was in part due to Lena interfering and allowing them to continue moving forward (which she wasn't supposed to support them in any way).

How about you go back and rewatch from the start, but this time actually pay attention. I expect you'll find things a lot less confusing that way.
