No, he won't.

All of the mysteries are going to get handwaved. The anime cut out Itsuki reappearing as Rena again before the trip, but it basically boiled down to Itsuki wanting Fuutarou to guess her identity instead of telling him, while he didn't care, rather wanted her to fess up and not disturb him on his precious school trip. He knows Rena is one of the quints, but puts zero effort into finding out or ask one by one who could she be. Anything about how he could have narrowed it down is headcanon.

Later Fuutarou falls asleep on the school festival, Yotsuba finds him and talks to him as Rena. Even there Fuutarou doesn't care who is she. He said his thanks to her, but even though she is supposed to be an important person for him, the author refused to go into a detailed past vs. present argument, Fuutarou just chooses the present without even knowing the proper details of the past and while present is lackluster. Pure cowardice.

Also, the kisser is treated the same. He doesn't care for a long ass time, it resurfaces by a misunderstood teasing, then ultimately he accepts that it doesn't matter who it was, but who he wants it to be. The bride implies it was her on the wedding. Therefore, his monologue doesn't make any sense, because the manga confirmed he had no idea who kissed him, so he couldn't think of her as special from the moment the kiss happened, since the kisser was just a placeholder who's identity he didn't know nor cared about.

From my perspective, Fuutarou didn't seek the true identity of Rena because he wants to pick a decision based on the present and not the past. He wants to be fair for the other sister. That's my perspective atleast

Possible, but unlikely. Author is a huge Ayane Sakura fan. FYI, Ayane Sakura's favorite quint is Miku, yet she was forced to play Yotsuba for obvious reasons. They came up with the excuse that she have felt that she was not a good match for Miku etc. which is bullshit, she has a good range.

You are basically saying that if Fuutarou would have learned the identity of Rena, he would have chosen her based on that alone and ignoring everything else. My perspective is easy. Learning how Itsuki was forced to do Rena instead of Yotsuba would have gone against Yotsuba, therefore God forbid Fuutarou to be disappointed in Yotsuba's actions for an arc or something where he could have seriously questioned what's truly important to him. Authors should just ditch past meetings and promises since the execution always turns out to be rage inducing.

Well, now I know why Ayaneru voiced all the Quints when they were still promoting the manga. Even though I agree that Ayaneru is a very talented Seiyuu(a fan of her), I agree with Negi when she chose Ayaneru to voice Yotsuba, because she is really great when she voice cheerful and funny character, example : Natsumi(Non Non Biyori), Hina(Kamisama ni Natta Hi), Cocoa Hoto(Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka),Nao Tomori (Charlotte, though she's not really cheerful in this one), And Tsubaki (Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso).

I word it differently: She was asked to voice the winner, not the character that fits her repertoire, or is her favorite. Therefore, it's not like Ayaneru wouldn't have been a good Miku, but no, no, no, she must voice the eventual bride, since author has a constant boner for her, then they give false excuses why didn't she play Miku.

There is nothing bad with preferring the past, but basically Fuutarou spent max 8 hours with Kyoto girl and for plot reasons didn't know her name, versus more than 1 year with the quints. The problem is that preferring the present with the winner is faaar from obvious. Most of the salt comes from this.

Can't argue with that. Ayaneru was really good when she voiced all the Quints during the manga promotion, if what you said is true, I agree what Negi did was a dick move.
But if they don't follow what the author had requested, the studio production would probably have a problem, isn't that what happened with Classroom of the Elite author and the studio that animates it?and that's why they didn't get a 2nd season? A rumor I heard, don't know if this is true.

I think Classroom of the Elite was always meant to be just a promotional anime for the LN. So the director implied Horikita is the main heroine based on the adapted material and even gave her some of the other heroines' scenes. But if it was never meant to continue, it matters not in the long run. It's not the same as refusing an author's offer for a character role. Ayaneru could have played just the bride, making the bride have her voice while the quints have different voices. Knowing that she was the original bride and all of the quints in the manga PV certainly suggested the meta arguments that it's not a coincidence who got her voice.

I didnt read the manga but at the same time, Ichika did lie a few times (disguise as Miku and then saying she is the childhood person(partial true)) and if it was a one off then Fu-Kun may still believe her.
