Combined with that, and all the new projects that MAPPA has taken on, including the hyped CSM, and some frickin water polo anime, and the fact that the next part of AoT will be the most difficult to animate in the history of the show, I.... don't really know what to expect anymore. I know we're getting an announcement on 28th regarding AoT. I can only pray that we do not get a fall 2021 release. Or even an early 2022 release. Mappa and kodansha doing them aot fans dirty 🤦♂️ |

Mikasa used to be really pretty, but I find her to be ugly now. LMAO you are the ONLY person who doesn't like the way Armin is drawn. MAPPA literally wanks him in every frame he appears in especially when compared to Eren and Mikasa and you don't like the way he's drawn. He literally has the Gojo treatment because he's easier to draw compared to the rest of the characters, but it's still clear as day they use 10x more budget on him than on Eren for example, just look at this shit, the bias is so obvious Armin looks way uglier in the manga while MAPPA made him a supermodel, Eren however... I don't care about others opinions. I liked Mikasa and Armin design in old seasons more than this one. It doesn't have to do with the adaptation because I didn't read the Manga so if it's the same as the Manga then my opinion applies to it too. |

How many pages have the later episodes been adapting on a average? I saw on Twitter that there’s 76 pages left to adapt. Obviously with some cuts, is that doable? Or is that a lot? |

I_Am_Freeballing said: I wouldnt say that, sure the direction for ep 9-13 was splendid but the animation there was sometimes that off that it hurts the character acting. But Im not an asshole, I think the adaption for ep 1-8 was very good, sure could've been better but the quality drop after ep 8 was to significant. I thought it would be redeemed with Levi vs zeke round 2 but yeah whatever. yaegerist-15 said: You keep calling it mediocre adaptation. Apart from visuals, the adaptation is better than ever. Soooo... based on spytrue tweet and eslam we either: -get a single movie concluding the show (worst case scenario) -get a rushed part 2 (also bad but pacing would be fine probably?) If what Eslam tweeted is true then i doubt they will make multiple movies or a movie + part 2, i think we'll get only 1 sequel. I'm a bit worried ngl but i'll keep calm until 28th |

I feel like the movie scenario would be: 117-129 = part 2, probably 10 eps since its alot of dialogue so 1.3 chapters/ep 130-139 = movie to conclude the series - would prob be like 1h45min - 2h? although if they do want to finish it asap, i dont see it being movies. Animejapan / final ep on sunday should (hopefully) give us some information |

Why do better if it's rated above 9 everywhere? This is a business. No one at Mappa cares about your satisfaction. They care about the money. I would do the same. I really wanna believe that the production committee isn't stupid enough to shove all the chapters in just one movie. So, if there is indeed a movie, covering War for Paradis and the paths stuff would be perfect. Would also probably have a better schedule and be more attractive for freelancers. If done right, it could be the best AoT content to date. Then perhaps a CGFest part 2 for the rest lol. The scale of the finale is off the charts. |

Yuuki ITO https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=73449 - did storyboard for KnY ep 15 Other than the 3 directors that worked in final season already Tomoko Hiramuki https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=32691 - directed ep 40 of AOT in S3 'Old Story' that episode also handled by 4 directors LOL 4 ep directors happened in past seasons of aot, so it should be fine, and all 4 of them here are very promising too, let's have faith in them. |

Akira Matsui in episode 16! I think we'll get to see some of his cubes when Porco lashes out xD. Very excited for this last episode. The number of directors and animation directors signifies production hell, but... they've always managed to do a good job somehow. |

Staff list looks good , but now that this is the last episode of this part I noticed that director hayashi hasn't directed a single episode (correct me if i'm wrong) he just did storyboarding (still didn't storyboard much even tho he is known to be a very fast storyboarder). I know that a director handles a lot of things in production but it's clear that his touches are a bit absent in this season , if we compare photography in kakegurui to AOT s4 the difference is huge despite having the same photography director due to hayashi's directing in kakegurui. Now , is he working in the continuation? l leakers said that production of a certain AOT related project is in the work since october , and Mappa with production committee want to wrap up the series asap. |

I feel like what Eslam said about the sequel already being in production since October 2020 is true since we got that picture of Colt in anime and it looks identical to a manga panel in 119. (From the CGworld magazine btw, they were talking about the overlays and backgrounds) |
