But in Novel it's established that Paul is a massively popular womanizer with massive hard on for huge donkers and literally live in society where polygamy is accepted and marriage is as formal as announcing to your neighbors and friend "We're married now" and done.

When he decided to marry Zenith he decided to respect her religion (which came from whole another continent BTW) and abstaining from other woman despite his massive popularity.

Also Paul is a scum and serial rapist, we got 2 named victim from main cast so far (Ghlysaine and Lilia) and probably there's more and Zenith accepted the risk when she decided to marry him to the point she already brace herself if one day random kid just came in and say he/she's Paul child she'll be accepting about it.

TL:DR The situation is really complicated. When Zenith decided to marry Paul she THOUGHT she have the resolve to stay with him even if she got another woman.. Turns out for years Paul does nothing so she let her guard down. However what shocked her more than Paul knocking up Lilia is the fact that the partner is Lilia since Zenith trusted her. The result she get emotional and forgot her resolve.

- Zenith THOUGHT she have the resolve to tolerate Paul being unfaithful to some degree but turns out she doesn't
- Paul THOUGHT that he could stay loyal to Zenith, turns out he couldn't
- Lilia THOUGHT that one time is probably fine, turns out it's not fine.

This whole shit is due to imperfect character being imperfect which is why it's great

Or rather he got his flaws but that doesn't means he's ALL flaws. In that world Paul is still considered highly attractive, and a good person. This is why Mushoku is a good Isekai because ANOTHER world means ANOTHER set of values.

Or what you want your isekai to be a chaotic melting pot of anachronistic culture where the society is stuck at feodal middle age yet people have modern sensibilities? You better of watching other generic Isekai for that.
