The Quintessential Quintuplets
| Since nobody did this, I will list which episodes adapted which chapters, all until the end of the season. Gotta say, that chapters are adapted almost panel-to-panel, with almost nothing skipped. I don't know if it's necessary to note, but I have read the manga, but be assured there will be no spoilers in the OP. Skipped chapters: 36,37,38. You could say these are pretty much filler chapters. But, while being fillers, there doesn't mean they are not important or something, quite the opposite in fact. I can hope they can fit it somewhere (maybe OVA?). Episode 1 Chapter 33 - Encounter at Hospital Visit Chapter 34 - Today, Kyoto's Bad Luck, And Cooperation Chapter 35 - Detective Fuutarou and the Five Suspects Episode 2 Chapter 39 - Seven Goodbyes 1 Chapter 40 - Seven Goodbyes 2 Chapter 41 - Seven Goodbyes 3 Episode 3 Chapter 42 - Seven Goodbyes 4 Chapter 43 - Seven Goodbyes 5 Chapter 44 - Seven Goodbyes 6 Chapter 45 - Seven Goodbyes 7 Events were rearanged a bit, but it's still very close adaptation. Episode 4 Chapter 46 - Seven Goodbyes 8 Chapter 47 - Seven Goodbyes 9 Chapter 48 - Seven Goodbyes 10 Chapter 49 - Seven Goodbyes 11 Chapter 50 - Seven Goodbyes 12 Seems like they skipped one important part from chapter 48, whatever Fuutaro was talking on the phone. I wonder why they made that change and if they are going to include the talk somewhere down the line. They also changed the place where they met Fuutaro in chapter 50 (and skipped one of my favorite scene) They also cut few pages at the end. Seems like they are lessening role of Father in this adaptation. Other than that, it was pretty much perfect adaptation and I'm very pleased with it. Episode 5 Last few pages of Chapter 50 - Seven Goodbyes 12 Chapter 51 - First Spring Chapter 52 - Good Work Today 1 (first few pages were skipped) Chapter 53 - Good Work Today 2 (they removed some panels that were related to skipped chapter 38, which makes sense) Chapter 54 - Fool's Battle (last few pages were skipped, will most likely be added in episode 6). Okay, all my worries are gone now. They actually adapted the "skipped" phone conversation and the car scene. Also, despite episode name, they actually didn't skip chapter 51. They also removed Dad pages from chapter 52 and 53. Also, Yotsuba best girl. Episode 6 Last few pages of Chapter 54 - Fool's Battle Chapter 55 - The Last Exam - Miku’s Side Chapter 56 - The Last Exam - Yotsuba’s Side Chapter 57 - The Last Exam - Itsuki’s Side Chapter 58 - The Last Exam - Ichika’s Side Chapter 59 - The Last Exam - Nino’s Side Gotta say, Last Exam arc was adapted almost flawlesly. As this arc's events was happening concurently (in the manga), I was wondering how would that be adapted to anime. They did rearange the chapters, but most of the content was kept. Some panels from Ichika's side was removed and Nino's side was not adapted completely, but I'm sure, at this point, it will be adapted next episode. Episode 7 Rest of the Chapter 59 - The Last Exam - Nino’s Side Chapter 60 - The Conquest Begins Chapter 61 - Scrambled Eggs 1 (first few pages were cut) Chapter 62 - Scrambled Eggs 2 Chapter 63 - Scrambled Eggs 3 (some pages at the start were cut, some at the end, which will be next episode) Episode 8 Rest of Chapter 63 - Scrambled Eggs 3 Chapter 64 - Scrambled Eggs 4 Chapter 65 - Scrambled Eggs 5 (most of the middle pages of the chapter were skipped) Chapter 66 - Scrambled Eggs 6 (first few pages were skipped and some at the end, some panels not used) Chapter 67 - Scrambled Eggs 7 Chapter 68 - Scrambled Eggs 8 (well, only like 1-2 page) This episode had most content cut from the chapters. Again, nothin TOO vital from the story, I guess they just wanted to end Scrambled Eggs arc with this episode. --- Episode 9 Chapter 69 - Welcome to Class 3-1 (some pages at the start were skipped) Chapter 70 - The Responsibilities of the Class Representative (1-2 pages skipped only) Chapter 71 - Advantage Chapter 74 - Curveball Showdown They seem to have cut out Takedas interaction with Fuutaro from chapter 70, which should have been important. They also entirely skipped chapter 72 and 73, which were probably most important. I hope they will be adapted next episode. And that chapter 74 through. I was hoping to see that moment for a long time. Episode 10 Chapter 72 - The Rumour About the Class Reps (the last few pages) Chapter 73 - New Kawanakajima (some of the pages, the setting was the library instead of 5toubun home and the Dad is missing) Chapter 75 - The Five Cranes Show their Gratitude (exact adaptation) Chapter 76 - A Battle Amongst Men (most of the chapter was skipped, only the end was adapted). Chapter 77 - A Battle Amongst Women (only the last, most important stuff) Chapter 78 - Sisters’ War - First Battle They didn't skip Takeda after all. They also adapted chapter 72 and 73, albeit not everything and some settings were changed. Looks like they are going full throttle to adapt Sisters' war arc. We can assume season 2 will end with this arc. Episode 11 Chapter 79 - Sisters’ War - Second Battle Chapter 80 - Sisters’ War - Third Battle Chapter 81 - Sisters’ War - Fourth Battle Chapter 82 - Sisters’ War - Fifth Battle (looks like they added some anime original scene here, where Itsuki tells Yotsuba about revealing the past to Fuutaro). Episode 12 Chapter 83 - Sisters' War - Sixth Battle Chapter 84 - Sisters' War - Seventh Battle Chapter 85 - Sisters' War - Seventh Battle (Back Side) Chapter 86 - Sisters’ War - Exhibition Match Looks like they added another anime original scene, where Itsuki tells Yotsuba about the past. Comments. By the pace we are going, this season will probably adapt up to chapter 68, which ends an arc and is the end of volume 8. There is more than enough content for another season and then some. It would be too sad if anime will indeed have original ending. Looks like I was completely wrong where it would end up. Thankfully, this adaptation was faithful to the end and we didn't get anime original ending. What's more, we got season 3! I'm very satisfied with this. |

| I feel this is really strange. They don't adapt the manga they copy it without adding any supplementary part and they even cut pages or chapter as you have already mentionned. I don't feel that the anime is fluid cause for me, they just recopy the manga box by box. I was hoping them to add more content as for instance in the 4th episode a funny part with Miku cutting Nino's hair... This is a new studio, did they have too much pressure so they don't risk anything for one of the top hit manga ? |

It would be better if they added some scenes instead of cutting, but this is not too bad either, so I'll let it slide. |
| Next episode name "The Last Exam" hope they won't adapt the 5 chapters in one episode or the hope we have to a season 2 ending on chapter 68 will probably fly away. The rythm for this 5th episode was pretty good, I still want more time for all of them to shine even more but whatever. |

They are adapting 3-5 chapters per episode after all. Also, by this I pace, it is indeed unlikely they will end on chapter 68. I think it will be Sisters War arc instead. |

| Cool, someone actually made this thread. 5-6 chapters per episode Ep8 is probably finish ch 63 then ch 64-68. Total chapter: 122 Almost half way there. |

At the pace they are going I think season 2 ends in a weird spot with around 30+ chapters left unless they really slow the adaptation pace down for the last 4 episodes of this season. I don't know how popular this show/manga is in Japan but after the success of the demon slayer movie they may try to set up the endgame of the show into a movie, which I wouldn't hate. But I'm rooting for a full season 3. It's like 5th or 4th best selling manga in Japan. |

| Looks like this season will end up with chapter 86 (end of Sisters War arc). Around 40 chapters were adapted for season 2, so I think they can adapt the rest for season 3. I doubt they will go for anime original ending here. |

They managed to fit in the main part of Futaro's labor thanksgiving date with Yotsuba Oh yeah, they did, totally forgot about that. |
