Hi there.

I really struggle to find some good serious/mature anime where characters don't constantly have a nose bleeds when seing a girl, don't start making stupid emotions and hitting each other and other of this 'comedy' stuff. Genre doesn't really matter. Here is some stuff that I've already seen:

Death Note
Both Fullmetal Alchemists
Attack on Titan
Paranoia Agent
Elfen Lied
You Lie in April
Parasyte
Tokyo Ghoul
Monster
Erased
Steins Gate
Code Geass
Nana
Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni
Future Diary
Schooldays
Heavy Rain
Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin
Gantz
Claymore
Death Parade
Another
Psycho-Pass

For example, recently I tried to start watching Soul Eater, but at the very first episode it just had all the typical stuff I hate, so I asked myself - maybe I'm to old for animes? But then I again I find such masterpieces as Parasyte, Psycho-Pass and Erased which pretty much have zero comedy and excellent animes suiting me exactly.

Thanks in advance

they remade the entire 110 eps?

The whole thing isn't done yet, it's an ongoing remake. I'm not sure how much has been covered so far or how far they're going to go tho

I also tend not to care for the ones that seem too cliche-heavy or as if they're more overloaded with cliches than serious dialogue and more original plot. So we may have similar tastes in some respects. Kiseijuu/Parasyte is also one I rated highly and hold as #14 on my Top 20 list on MAL.

I tend to prefer the more "serious" as well, whether that be serious thriller or horror, Sci-Fi, psychological, dark fantasy, romance, coming of age, and even, believe it or not, Slice of Life where a magnifying glass is turned on the large or small issues of day to day living.

Anyway,

The original Berserk (1997 version)
Koi Kaze
Haibane Renmei
Serial Experiments Lain
Shiki
Ergo Proxy
Usagi Drop
Legend of the Galactic Heroes
Kaiba
Hyouge Mono
Petshop of Horrors
Kino no Tabi
Season 1 of Black Lagoon (personally didn't care for the second as much)
Eve no Jikan
Aku no Hana
Mononoke (not Princess Mononoke; the horror series)
Ping Pong the Animation

Some of those are pretty tranquil Slice of Life series and others dystopic post-apocalyptic and cyberpunk, but either way, all of those have a plot revolving around some serious topics and rich dialogue and portrayal of emotions without inclusion of many, if any of the standard conventions/tropes/cliches of anime that you point out and that lead some people to viewing it more as a genre than a medium.

I just included TV series and not films.

From your list, I feel like you might like San-gatsu no lion. It's a slow burner, but it's my fourth favourite anime of all time. It's insanely deep and psychological, and gave me the same vibe as Steins; Gate and in some ways Psycho-Pass. There's also literally none of your pet hates; romance is rare in the physical sense, apart from being implied or used to symbolise a characters' loneliness.

Vinland Saga is also amazing. There's definitely more that I could find if I went through my list, but those two are probably the best I could recommend that you might not have seen off the top of my head.

That's what death is, don't you think?

Try Shigurui or Mushishi or Master Keaton.
I probably regret this post by now.

Is that 97 version the same as the 3 arcs? Thata why I never watched it
And I loved Black Lagoon 2, wish they make a 3rd and 4. That right there is a grown mans anime.

What's your top 5 from that list? I seen shiki and currently watching serial experiments.

By three arcs do you mean the film series? It covers the Golden Age period, the campaigns of the Band of the Hawk, and can be seen as a prelude or almost a prequel to what's to come in the majority of the rest of the manga since it went on for decades since the anime ended in 1998 and is still ongoing to this day. I've only seen the third film in the series and have never read the manga.

I only watched the third film because it goes slightly past the '97 anime and I was interested in seeing even a tiny fragment of the story continuing in that fashion. I really have no interest in the heavy CGI aesthetic and overall changed visuals, pace, and tone of the movies or the 2016 second adaptation/reboot.

I can see its appeal, but I wasn't wild about it because of the frantic jumping around between Roanapur and Japan, yakuza, the Russian ex-special forces subplot, etc. The first season already had some problems with staying on the original premise, but I thought in the second it became more pronounced and kind of came off the rails.

It was very light on the two factors which initially attracted me to Black Lagoon and for which the promise of made me love the first few episodes so much:

1) Lagoon Company. It's in the name. I was looking forward to seeing an anime that is actually set partially or mostly at sea and involves modern piracy which I haven't seen done anywhere else, but this was abandoned hastily in favor of subplots and too many side characters and action extravaganzas on land which were a great spectacle but I thought lacking any emotional or narrative weight.

2) The development of the small main cast of characters. Rock and Revy's relationship either as friends or lovers doesn't really get that far and fleshed out. And the other two members of Lagoon Company, Dutch and Benny, have virtually non-existent character development.

That said, even with these major complaints, the premise of the show was unique and captivating enough to still lead me to like the first season very much and rate it highly, but I felt the second amplified those weaknesses and muted its strengths.

My top five from there and make sure to exclude those two?

1) Koi Kaze
2) Haibane Renmei
3) Berserk
4) Ergo Proxy
5) Usagi Drop

They're quite different from one another though, so depending on what you're looking for, I don't want to give you the mistaken impression that they'll all necessarily be to your taste.
