| Greetings, this's my first time posting on MAL forum, so please forgive me if I do something wrong. -Just like the title, I'm looking for anime/manga set on the medieval time, not necessarily real-world or isekai, either way doesn't matter. -The MC is a complete low-ranked soldier. No special abilities, no cheat power whatsoever, but not a coward, nor naive (gender doesn't matter). -It would be better if the MC somehow regarded as strong because s/he tends to survive from many battles using whatever means s/he can use to survive, like cheap tricks/dirty tactics/cleverness/experiences, whatever. -And, the most important part is, I want the mc to have a romantic partner, or just pursuing/searching for one. Sorry for asking for such detailed settings. I'm longing for stories like this. All help is appreciated. Edit: Something like Jackie Chan's movie "Little Big Soldier" would be really great. In the movie, as the mc, Jackie is just a normal soldier who manages to escape death again and again through cheap tricks and cleverness. Thanks for the reply. Violet Evergarden was good, almost really good. But like Alderamin, they got guns and stuff. I'm looking for stories set on medieval times. Like you know, no guns, not even muskets, magic is okay so long as the MC has no special magic whatsoever. But thank you anyway, i appreciate it. |

| Goblin slayer does give me a really good impression at first, except for latter chapters where he just appeared to me as another kid clouded with a vengeance. I know and tried the rest, except Vinland Saga. I've heard about it since 2011. Anyway does Thorfinn even a soldier? He seems more like a brigand, but I guess I'll try it regardless. Thank you. |
