You can login onto the official website through third party o-auth.

From the API, you can only login with MAL credentials.

Implementation for third party o-auth calls would be required for people who registered through third party clients.

Please add this.

This is a horrible idea and a bad way to implement it; For the obvious reason of all these third party account logins could be abused easily. A better implementation would be API keys and no API access via auth

That would be awesome. Most companies have this method of API keys and private keys and such.

Nah, basic HTTP auth is the best... no questions asked... Base64 is so secure.

At least people can set their credentials so that API recognizes them.

Ehh, I really hope that we will have new(can we call current one an API anyway) API to play with this time next year.

Meh....I'm not really fond of HTTP auth, but I guess I'll have to stick with it.
