| Wandering Son ... and not much else. I have a bunch of recs for things like Utena where although it subverts the cishet norm, there's only either a female or a male cross-dressing, not both. Or things like Rose of Versailles where everyone is fabulous as fuck, where gender is too weak a concept to stand in the way of glorious 70's shoujo eye-twinkling and hair sparkles. |

Thank you! @Lemon I already watched the anime version of Wandering Son since a pretty long time now. It's not really what I want; it's more a coming of age story for trans' characters. But, the cross-dressing part isn't obligatory, it's just a big bonus for me because… I like cross-dressers. ^^ But what I want is more a reversal of the heterosexual norm, either from a visual perspective, a behaviour perspective, or both. For example a strong and dominant girl and a weak and submissive guy, even if they looks like their gender, is also in my criteria, like this cover:  For Rose of Versailles, it's on my plan to watch list since a long time now, because I heard it's one of the earliest subtext yuri works, even if the main romance is an heterosexual one. Is it really a "gender fucking" story that much? Because if that's the case, I could prioritize it. ^^ |

Because if that's the case, I could prioritize it. ^^ I think the main character's personal story arc is definitely a gender fucking one, but it's also a story about the French Revolution so there's a lot of court intrigue, politicking, and power struggle themes that are more prevalent overall. |
