Is Anette a decent replacement for Tarja?

| I'd imagine they don't want her to sing something of Tarja's. Afterall most of nightwish's songs were written for its singer. Which is why the music changed some, though not much. ^_^; I love it all. |

| That's why one doesn't compare one to another. In all sense, Anette is Tarja replacement as vocalist. Though, I'm sure we all agree, that space will never be filled in the same way. "No two doughnut holes are alike" XD |

| well, I don't like her. her voice and singing style more importantly... but there are some songs in DPP which I think she sings better than Tarja would ( for example, Whoever Brings the Night) but im the Poet and the Pendulum operatic vocal would be much better imho anyway, I'd not mind her if she didn't totally ruin Wishmaster on the live concerts <_< |

| Well I dont like Anette that much.. but thats probably bechause I loved Tarja's voice sooo god damn much! I really wasn't that positive when I heard Dark passion play and I still think that Anettes voice is way below Tarjas. Anette is not a bad singer I just prefer Tarja. oh and 1 more thing.. I'm gonna kill her if she sings Wishmaster again o_O |

| I'm surprised. I was expecting to read about lots of Anette hate in this thread. :) I like the new singer, and I have fun listening to her just as much as I did Tarja. :) |

| I think that Nightwish were both very brave and very clever in getting Anette, simply because she's so different to Tarja. But I think she brings a lot more to the band than Tarja did (especially for the last two albums she recorded with them - it was like she was a guest singer and not part of the band) and I think that Anette's voice gives Tuomas a little more compositional freedom (he's started using the horn section ;D). So whilst I'll love Tarja, I won't miss her, because I think Nightwish is going on to new heights with Anette :3 |

| I think Anette as their new singer changes nearly everything Nightwish was with Tarja - as if they were a new band. But it doesn't change for worse, i think the "new" Nightwish is as good as the "old". |

| DPP was one of my favourite purchases in 2007, and the new live album, MIHK, shows how great Anette is live. I say no more. :-) |

| Anette? HECK YES!!! Especially live. Tarja is a fine singer, but she's also a greedy diva who would have destroyed this most wonderful band. In my personal opinion, Anette brings a wonderful new (and far superior) spark to the band. Especially since she will actually record with other members of the band present (something Tarja absolutely refused to do), and won't force them to cancel concerts so she can practice for solo gigs or go shopping with friends (who by some "miracle" happen to be in town). A definite improvement. Take these two cents any way you choose. |
