Finally, an amazing episode without battles. A get-together party involving members of the Holy Council, the Dark Society, and GD. The party involves a contest in which the winner will win a prize that is bought off the net auction.
Actually, the only reason why there is a party is that it is the death anniversary of Aine, the Burial Doll of Reishirou's Asura Machina. Reishirou reminds me of Fukuyama Jun-san while the protagonist Tomoharu is just a typical high school kid. Anyhow, it seems that Aine who is a ghost that follows Reishirou around wouldn't want her death anniversary to be filled with sorrow and thus, they had a party.
Although, it is a party involving a contest but it was more like.. Aside from the fact that Shuri and Susugihara seems to act like enemies, everyone else seems to be having fun, especially Shuri herself. Shuri kept on coming up with ecchi ideas to get Tomo to do things with Kanade-chan, the fire-element demon which obviously upsets Misao, the Burial Doll for Kurogane, a ghost that is visible to ordinary human eyes ever since Kurogane devoured this rare special device that has the ability to extract a Burial Doll and revive the girl inside the Asura Machina.
In the end, the prize was won by the lame Tomo and Misao which turns out to be a golden decorative ornament featuring a naked male and his huge gender organ. In the end, Reishirou apologizes to poor Tomo and Misao for their troubles of escorting his sister Saeki which led to some misunderstandings, though Misao didn't really mind but..
Honestly, wasn't this anime originally about Tomoharu's ecchi encounters with all these pretty ladies? How did it end up as some ridiculous battles between Handlers? Perhaps, it all began when Naoto gave him the gift of the Asura Machina, the dark-element Kurogane which is also the reason why Tomoharu is meeting all these pretty ladies to begin with. Thus, he will be walking the path to becoming the second Asura Cryin, a cursed entity.

I don't think it was out of place. Considering that there's a 2nd season, we're really not even at the halfway point (although I'm not sure if the 2nd season was announced yet, when this episode aired). I think this episode was a good break from all the tension, and we got to know more about the characters, especially Aine, in a more cheerful light.
