| Mugen - Samurai Champloo I like his reckless style, and his bad attitude and great character design. Not only the best character with a sword but in the series as a whole. Hes not bad at baseball either :) Kenshin Himura - Rurouni Kenshin Manslayer in the past, uses a reverse blade sword and vows never to kill again. Despite this handicap he manages to overcome the odds without compromising on his morales. Zaraki Kenpachi - Bleach Fights purely for the enjoyment of it, not the most gifted of swrodsman but makes up with that with sheer brute force. Kyuzo - Samurai 7 Uses a unique 2 sword style, can hold his own in the series. His personality is the stong silent type,which isn't normally the character I like, but its done well here. I also like his character design/costume. Li Xingke - Code Geass R2 Not only a great swordsman, he is also a master taction capable of commanding an army and a great mech pilot. His only weakness is he is suffering from some kind of illness,that will eventully kill him. |

Alucard - Hellsing Because he's simply broken, being able to regenerate seemingly endlessly no matter what damage he takes, summoning armies of undead familiars and having the liberty of switching back to his guns whenever he wants to. My other favourites- Guts - Berserk For monstrous strength even against demons and maximum manliness. Cannon-arm is also a big bonus. And let's not forget what the Berserker armour does to him. Askeladd - Vinland Saga Simply badass and awesome. Integra Hellsing - Hellsing For being able to stoically slice up Millennium troops, while only being a human herself. Utena Tenjou - Revolutionary Girl Utena Because hubris and hamartia makes for awesome characters. Her rapier is a bit gay though, but OH WAIT... |

I like swords. Not the character that use them. Like these. The character are always trying to prove something, but it's the sword that speaks for them. That's why I like bleach. Because it's all about swords, or at least, it was. Then it got all ego driven. I liked the initial Idea about the sword having a personality, but they took it too far in the arc where the Zanpaktou started to fight the owners. |

| Actualy, Thors hammer, is not a hammer, it is a hilt of the sword he never uses, because it means instant death. The Lord of the rings sword is based on the Hammer of Thor .   Apparently, I'm not sure on the exact legend, but after the hilt was made, no sword was good enough to sit in it, or the blade was removed and the Hilt became his weapon instead. I think it was based on his desire to never kill. there many legends regard Thors hammer, all have some truth in them, and everyone has one. |
