| Is this going to have 50 episodes like the original? |

| It hasn't been announced.. I'm hoping they have at least 50-80 seeing as how theres a good 90 (probably going to go above 100) chapters of manga. |

| Well if the original series could stretch a third of the original manga storyline into 30 episodes, I'm thinking that 50+ eps for the new series is a safe bet. Bones is planning to adapt the entire FMA manga storyline and the manga hasn't even finished yet! Meaning FMA 2 won't be going away anytime song! |

| I'd say 50 episodes minimum but I won't be surprised if it hits up to the 60s or 70s since there's a lot to cover. |

| I'm curious to the episode count for this series too, if they plan on covering the whole storyline from the manga. I haven't read all of the manga, but I know there's a significant amount that would take quite a number of episodes to cover. I'm hoping for at least 50 episodes, and then maybe they'll do multiple seasons to cover the entire series, or take a break in between in case they catch up. I suppose no one can say for sure until it's announced officially, but I'm praying that they'll give this a high episode number. *crosses fingers* |

It's pretty much obvious that it's getting 50+. Minimum of 50 episodes. But I don't think it can fit in just 50 episodes. So 50+; like 60-80. But if the manga doesn't end already even though it's really closing to the end na, maybe we'll get 2 sets of 52 episodes/season. THAT is IF there's no filler. :D |

| I'm really hoping that this series of FMA they will do more than 50 eps. If they do try and cram over 20+ volumes of manga material in 50 eps, most likely it will be rushed at times, much like how these first few episodes have been. I would much rather see them take their time and have the series play out the story at a steady pace, so i'm really hoping for around 70-ish episodes. Guess we'll just have to wait and see... |

| well i dont now how many bot i hope more thene 50 ^^ and i dont think thre going joist like the manga ther not all the people inn the FMA 2 like inn the manga thene! but i hope that threys a LOT of episode becous this is the best anime and manga ever <3 |

| Bones haven't ever produced anything more than 51 eps length. -_-" and this thing bothers me like hell. I don't want a one more non-manga plot twist in the end. it's a valuable franchise so they'll try to tap it as much as possible. maybe they'll announce a new season (or even a movie o_0) after first 50 eps, but I don't care (even if they call it "Fullmetal Alchemist: Rebuilt" or "Edward, You're Not Alone") as long as it will follow manga. |

| Manga has 104 chapters. Releases monthly. As of now episode 44 we are at half of chapter 81 + 82 + half of 83. Mostly one episode covers one chapter only though. Releases weekly. The statistics are not good at all. |

The front half of it was part of the hyper 16++ episodes where everyone was complaining about the pacing. It wasn't omitted, rather it was compacted. They didn't want to rehash completely the part of the story that was already covered partially in the original FMA anime. |

| I think this will pretty much be 63 or so episodes long, judging from where they are now. This is Bones' BIG FLIPPING CHANCE to prove to the world that they can create series longer than 51 episodes, so they better not screw up. Better yet, they should put the series on a 13-week or so hiatus after the 51th episode to let the manga end or get details on the unpublished ending from Arakawa, THEN give us a 13-episode finale. |

To see it here we would basically have to wait more than half a year. I'm also not following the manga and since the anime continues to be epic I can restrain myself from reading the manga. But oh boy if they decide on a movie I won't be able to stop myself from reading. |
| I think its going to have more then the "63 episode" rumor I have been seeing in various places, I'm guessing right around the 70 range. Hard to tell though, since the manga is still ongoing. |
