I finished the twdrama of absolute boyfriend last night.... and I cried my eyes out ;n; best twdrama i've seen.

Recently I also finished to the beautiful you. It was really fun at first but it got really draggy around episode 10-12 and I wasn't a huge fan of all the "kdrama additions". I still really loved sulli as mizuki, minho as sano, and lee hyun woo as nakatsu!

I finished answer me 1997 and i was really upset with the ending. It was a great show from start to finish though but I guess it was bad I was rooting for the wrong guy the whole time. I loved eunji as shiwon SO MUCH.

I finally went ahead and watched My Girlfriend is a Gumiho. It was mostly enjoyable and fun, and Miho was always fun to watch, especially when it came to cows.

After that I moved on to Arang and the Magistrate which was pretty great overall.

Rooftop prince - pretty great although I'm not sure how I feel about the end exactly.

Missing You aka I Miss You - I decided to watch it since it had the same lead actor but I think it was my favorite series in a while.

Buzzer Beat. The first episodes were fun to watch and I enjoyed the show in a "let's watch something light with some romance" kind of way, but I suppose I expected it to have something a bit more special to offer storywise... The ending especially felt very rushed and underwhelming, meh. On a scale of 0-10 I'd probably rate this somewhere around 5-6, an average series but it did have its moments (and I liked the OP too).

i just finished mr brian i thought it was good i don't get why people dislike it so much
I know what you're thinking, punk. You're thinking "did he fire six shots or only five?" Now to tell you the truth I forgot myself in all this excitement. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and will blow you head clean off, you've gotta ask yourself a question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?

Take Care of the Young Lady - I originally skipped it but then I decided to just try it since it had certain actors in it. It was kind of good or at least had good moments after all, even though I didn't quite feel a connection between the main characters for some reason.

Queen In Hyeon's Man - Pretty great and fun and the leads were good together, too.

Nine aka Nine Times Time Travels - One of the best series. Time travel series are always fun and some great characters.

Finally done with You're the Best, Lee Soon Shin. I know it's fifty episodes long, but goddamn did this show drag (too heavy on the makjang), and of course they rush the ending despite that. With a competent writer, it could have easily told the same story in roughly half the time. Still, I enjoyed some of the characters (the rest I more or less hated), and like I said in the other thread, the romance sub-plots were executed well. It was just enough to keep me watching. I kind of feel like it was a waste of time, though, overall.

Now I need something light and fluffy, maybe Japanese, for a change..

You're The Best, Lee Soon Shin - I feel relieved to have finally finished it. I kind of wish some things had been done differently or shorter and that the stuff with Yoo Shin and mother in law were shorter or non-existent, even though the actress playing Yoo Shin is one of the main reasons I went ahead and gave it a try. I'll have to be more careful deciding what long series I watch from now on.

Yeah, she was a big reason for me, as well (loved Queen In Hyun's Man). I really should have waited for it to finish and read the reviews, like I usually do. Although they are very long, I would like to try another family drama. I've heard good things about the last several shows that preceded YtBLSS in the same time slot (especially that one with Uee, Ojakgyo Brothers).

But first, light and fluffy..

Who Are You - If I were to rate it maybe I'd give it an average score. It had interesting moments, but then other times it was kind of the opposite. It seemed like there wasn't a lot of chemistry between the main characters either which made it sort of hard to feel like there was really anything between them.

Yeah, about that light and fluffy.. I ended up watching eight dramas in a month's time, all Japanese romance/comedies. Love Shuffle was a highlight.

Almost finished Ojakgyo Brothers, and while it has its fair share of tropes, they're executed well. I'm enjoying it a whole lot more than YtBLSS. Will have to watch a few shorter dramas after, though; these family dramas can be exhausting.

After the mess that was Birth of a Beauty (promising start, but went downhill about halfway), Sweden Laundry is the perfect pick-me-up. Lighthearted, great cast, with no stupid bullshit to get in the way (so far, at least -- crossing my fingers).

edit: Sweden Laundry lost a bit of steam with family drama towards the end, but an enjoyable watch overall.

Yesss, loved that show! It had a more J-drama feel to it, not often you see works like that from K-drama land.

Oh? If you know of any similar j-dramas, do tell!

Just finished Signal (from the same director, coincidentally), and for once a drama's top ranking on MDL is well deserved. Just an all-around brilliant piece of work.

Kill Me, Heal Me got a little better at the end and wrapped up satisfactorily, so it went from mediocre to merely average, at best.

I think Signal (and Incomplete Life) spoiled me so much, I'm having some trouble watching dramas since..
