This movie made me realise the true message the writer was trying to portray with Steins;Gate, when Kurisu proposes that every different version of her in every world line is collectively the REAL Kurisu, so when she drifts from world line to world line it is the real Kurisu drifting and she even says that the world seems "fake" giving the impression that she is not with the real Daru and Mayuri, however in the Steins;Gate world line everyone is present, its as if the Steins;Gate world line isn't just a world where Kurisu and Mayuri live but also a world where all the souls of each lab member is present, a world where they are no longer drifting in hope of finding something they feel is missing. This is my first theory, the second is much simpler. My second theory is that instead of there being multiple dimensions or worlds, for each world line, instead there is only one universe, a universe that is constantly drifting from one world line to another, so when Kurisu sees Okabe dissapear and Mayuri and Daru forget him its not a new world, its the same one but with their memories altered, the same atoms just in a different place, its always the REAL Daru and the REAL Mayuri but only in the Steins;Gate world line are they able to live in harmony without the attractor field theory killing either of them.
both theories are sound I think but the first is more applicable to real life and the second makes for a much more emotionally thrilling story.
If I'm wrong on something I'd love to know, I haven't googled the real Steins;Gate theory or anything its just what I speculated from the show.
So, anyone else got a theory or would like to point out flaws in mine?

The second theory is correct. If you read the visual novel, it's explained that only one timeline can exist at a time, and all the other timelines are possibilities. When the past is altered the timeline is changed to a possible timeline which suits the change best. That means only one of each person exists at a time. (except if people use a time machine). This is the fundamental difference between the parallel world theory and the timeline theory.
