well hiya fellow anime lovers!
well to start of with, Steins;gate (tv-series) is one of my favs. of all time. i'm pretty sure that when i watched the series and the OVA ending, it was a happy ending. he had finally found a world where he could be with his friends and kurisu, she didn't remember thou, even thou im sure that in the end she actaully does remember. and then this movie came out. its good and i loved to be back, but can you tell me why this movie was needed? and that ending in the movie? im tottaly at loss atm. does it mean that he will go from timeline to timeline and she will just follow him or have they finally settled down in the "good" timeline? help me sort it out please ;)

The movie isn't needed but the fans demanded more and they got more. Some might say the production studio is "milking" the series but I believe this is more of a strong addition to it and it seems like most people think so too.
I think both of them are going to stay in the Steins;Gate world line and Kurisu's promise to follow him to every world line is just another way of saying that she rescues him should the need arise.

i'm glad they did then :3 always nice with some more okabe. but in the end it was kinda useless, they could've gone with the ova ending. but now they have made a bulletproof closure.

Yeah, the honest truth is that animation studios want money. Who wouldn't, lol. That's why they made this movie. Steins;Gate probably is a nice cash cow for them. I'm not complaining, though. This was a really solid movie. If it wasn't, then I would.
