We thankfully return to 1986… for the climax of the island's events.

Gohda and Kumasawa are revealed as dead. Maria and Kinzo's whereabouts are unknown. Battler and "Beatrice" are alive.

Beatrice confronts Battler, declaring that he has a "sin" which he does not remember; a sin from six years ago that served as one of the causes for the killings.

Personally, I quite liked this chapter. The relationship between Battler and "Beatrice" is arguably the single most significant element of the series, and the focus that it gets here is building on it rather well.
