After reading the manga and watching the anime, I had to read the original light novel. And so far, it hasn't disappointed me.

“Heaven is too crowded with people and this world will come to its end very quickly. Ah, I've made a mistake.”

We get to see the psyche of Ai and the villagers she lives with, which hasn't been properly portrayed in the adaptions.
