Sport has always been known and recognized as one of the best way to counter depression, if not the best. Transfering mental pain into physical fatigue, and physical fatigue into welfare creates a virtuous circle.

Sport also makes you hungry and helps you to fall asleep, which are two main problems when you're feeling depressed.

That's how you overcome depression? Suicide? e.e;; When I get depressed I either:

1. Listen to depressing stories of friends for me to be so depressed that I'm sick of it;
2. I escape reality for a while;
3. I meditate.

All those works for me, depending on the reason behind the depression. :))
It might work for you as well. try it! You tried killing yourself countless times, it failed. maybe it's God's way of saying "You can't die just yet." LOL.

A sensible answer. Endorphins released by exercise help to fight depression, too. That said, getting rid of depression often requires getting your act together and dealing with whatever professional, interpersonal issues (or others) that you're going through. Absolutely not what most people do when depressed, albeit what they ought to.

The best source of endorphins is sex. Will take you about 5-6 hours relief, atleast for me that's the case. Endorphins are less in exercise though, the best way to release it is through ***, so if you're talking about exercise being a counter to depression as ENDORPHIN WISE, exercise isn't the best way to make your body release ENDORPHINS.

I can do more than that, but she'll complain. Our at most were last valentines day. 5 times in less than 12 hours. twice during the night, went out to have some chill, return for another 1, then sleep, then another two when we woke up.

On topic: Watching back anime recently had given me some good relief, I start watching AOT, though all 18 epi was done in a day, don't know what to watch next, though. But watching anime can't beat endorphins in my case. xD

OT: How you actually deal with depression will probably vary from other people.

Therapy, drugs, writing, walks. Personally, I do best when I can be introspective and write about stuff, talk therapy doesn't do much for me, but I did spend some time in the hospital for depression, and picked up a lot of skills there, which tend to work better, for me, alone. (Mainly due to issues of lack of understanding from therapists and family)

Maybe try talking to family, you may need hospitalization, I'd look into your healthcare system.
