PRELUDE TO THE TRIBULATION
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

GENERAL DESCRIPTION FOR EVERYBODY ENTERING THE ISLAND

Currents. Very bizarre currents is all that could be said to describe the flow of water that reeled in ships from the area. The currents of Voettfang, unknown to many, were unique - Navigators were given about 4 seconds to ride the tide of one or the two currents. If done properly, the crew is able to choose between the left tide (Beggars) or the right tide (Undead). Otherwise, the ship itself will be pulled into one tide by random and continue its course until it reaches the island.

Yes. This is merely the beginning of Voettfang.

[Before entering, you must decide: Do you attend the Left or Right Tide? (Please note there will be pirates on different sides: If 2/3 crews have already picked a certain tide, the last crew would be forced to pick the other one.)]
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

FOR THE MIDNIGHT PIRATE'S

Because of the lack of knowledge the crew had on the island, they were pulled in by the right tide. Thanks to their navigators however, reaching the island in safe condition had been successfully met.

Upon reaching the island, every single member could only fascinate their eyes on what was before them: a complete and utter wasteland. Everything was devoid of life - If anything, it felt befitting for the undead to roam.

Within a few minutes of arriving on the island, a crackling noise could be heard. Kuro's crew did not even have a chance to get off the ship. In fact, it didn't feel as though that would be a wise idea in the first place: dozens of moving skeletons, clothed in strange armor followed by half-flesh abominations eagerly moved towards the ship.

"Vooettfangggg wwelcomes you travelers ... ", an undead had said.

(Voettfang welcomes you travelers)

"Nnnoww, partisssss ... ipate in ttheee Tttribulationnn forrr ussss Kkkkinnnnndddreeeendddd ... Ooorrr aaawaitttt ddddeatthhhhhhh."

(Now, participate in the Tribulation for us Kindred, or await DEATH.)

Another undead throws a pack of old paper, covered in ink. There appears to be a strange tattoo on it - From the mere look of it, it can be assumed that the Midnight pirates must temporarily pledge loyalty to the undead by putting this temporarily tattoo on their skin or clothes.

"Putttt that onnnnn, and youuu shalll remainnnn asss ourrr kkkkkiiiiinnnnndddddrrrreeeddddd."

(Put that on, and you shall remain as our kindred.)

[DECISION: Pick to swear your loyalty, or die. Please note that the loyalty is in fact, temporarily and that the tattoo is not permanent.]

[UPON picking, you may get off the ship and visit places in Draugr's terrority. The following places you may visit are as followed: The Marketplace, Draugr Headquarters, or The Battlefield (Picking the battlefield will result in the start of batting the Stafkarl).

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

FOR THE REVOLUTIONARY PIRATE'S

A ship was sited in the territory of the Stafkarl. The ringing of the bell could immediately be heard.

"Travelers!" a Stafkarl exclaimed.

The new island showed fresh signs of civilized life. The trees, being bushy and green all around, was certainly an enlightening sight to see. Some of the Stafkarl had begun to move to the docks, in anticipation for their new visitors.

"Welcome! The Stafkarl welcome you to the Island of Voettfang! The Stafkarl hopes that both groups shall have a relationship of mutual assistance.", one had energetically said.

The Stafkarl approached the incoming ship, and entered the body of water to guide the ship to the docks.

"We are in war at this very moment. Please put these tattoos on so that you will be identified as our allies. The Draugr ... aren't as welcoming ..." he said as a package of tattoos were thrown at the revolutionary pirates.

"All in all, welcome! You may explore our land however you wish."

[DECISION: Pick to swear your loyalty, or be captured by the Stafkarl. Please note that the loyalty is in fact, temporarily and that the tattoo is not permanent.]

[UPON picking, you may get off the ship and visit places in Stafkarl's terrority. The following places you may visit are as followed: The Marketplace, Stafkarl's Headquarters, or The Battlefield (Picking the battlefield will result in the start of batting the Draugr).

◦It feels so close to me, yet i can't grasp it even if i extend my hands. Even so ... Even if i cant reach it ... there are things that will stay in my heart. Being in the same time and looking up at the same sky, If i can remember that, then even when we are apart from each other, I believe that we can be together. I will run forward now. If i set my goal far enough, then someday .. I'll be able to reach what I aimed for.

----- The Revolution Pirates -----

The Revolution pirates had been caught in the left current and had simply let the current take their ship to it's destination. The crew had no idea what was in store for them as they had accidentally got caught in the currents whilst their engine operator had been sleeping.

-----Axis-----

Axis looked on as the natives greeted them a bit perplexed as to how happy they were to see visitors. When they threw the package of tattoo's up to them he caught them and look at them for a bit and decided it couldn't hurt since they were temporary. He took one and past the package on to the rest of the crew.

After applying the tattoo and watching everyone else do the same he decided to take the lead.

"I guess we should at least explore while we are here, they might have some interesting parts to help with the ship."

And with that Axis disembarked the ship/

By the time Kuro had finished talking he was fully standing not that he could react to the little speeding bullet of the crew as Kaya-chan blasted right into his stomach, reaching his hand down Kuro lightly patted the top of her head before rubbing it in a warm manner like a family member would. While Kaya-chan was burying her head into his chest area Kuro looked over at the new guests. It seemed that catching up with the crew and doing what he intended with the thief might have to come later after they had dealt with the more pressing matter of these new strange people. The rest of the crew on the ship had also noticed the inhabitants of the island, well it would have been harder to have not seen them even with the flashy entrance of Kuro or maybe he had actually attracted them to the ship faster...oh well.

“Did you miss me Kaya-chan? Speaking of that I have a present for you.”

Kuro smiled while looking down at Kaya-chan in fact he hadn’t even spoke a word to the strange inhabitants of the island yet. He had listened to what they had to say and even if it was difficult to understand their speech patterns he had translated the more important parts about how to be safe on the island with them. Instead Kuro took out a largish bottle from the inside of his jacket it was the same bottle of juice that he had given Kaya-chan before while at the same time he brought out a narrow black box from his pocket as well before placing it back inside his pocket. His eyes drifted from Kaya-chan to the others on the ship almost like they were searching for a specific person. One by one he scanned everybody on the ship until his eyes reached the small thief girl who had sneaked onto his ship. While rubbing the head of Kaya-chan Kuro searched through his pocket only this time it was the pocket on the outside of his jacket before he managed to bring out two things, they were much smaller than the bottle and the box which is why they were probably placed in the smaller pockets of the jacket.

“Sorry for causing you so much trouble and having to bring you to this island with us. Here is something as a payment for everything you have been through since coming onto the ship.”

Kuro spoke while walking over towards the thief but something seemed different from the man that she had known before even if he looked exactly the same he felt completely different. With each step Kuro took it had become clear to not only the thief but the others in the crew that stood and watched Kuro. From the way he walked, spoke everything down the very aura that radiated out from him it was all different it was all more mature and refined from the chaotic person that he was before. Whatever had happened in the short week that he was gone it had caused him to grow considerably in more ways than one it seemed. By the time he reached the young thief girl it was like a man looking down upon a child well he was 22 but he seemed much wiser and more powerful for his age. In his hand he held two things one was a small black box that seemed to pulse with power it had a mysterious vibe about it. The other thing he held was a small note that had been folded and sealed by a dragon symbol. It was a fresh seal so it wasn’t hard to imagine that whatever the note was it was new.

“If you’re ever in trouble then open the black box. It will save your life and the note is something you can use to either find us again or ask a certain group of people for one favor so don’t waste them...”

His words slowly tailed off towards the end with his eyes drifting back over to whatever these people actually were. He had never seen people like them before yet he didn’t feel any bloodlust coming from them currently of course from their words that could easily change at any moment. A fight was out of the question considering these were only the welcoming party it seemed so even if they managed to take them out more would soon come rushing out of whatever rock they were hiding under. With a small Kuro quickly placed the mark on the top of his right hand before tossing the stamp towards the next person to catch...for now he would play along with these people of the island since he was curious about the place and it seemed the best course of action.

As many of the crew members had been blown back from the shockwave of the dark wings, Sergio seemed to stay stuck in the ground. A large smile came across his face. He was one of the few who had never doubted he would see his captain again. Of course, the entrance he had made was quite unexpected. It seemed he had been hiding something all along with those wings. Of course, they had only just joined together for several weeks now. None of them had truly learned about each other yet. That would come in time. For now, it was a time to celebrate with everyone over the return of Kuro!

“Ya really know how to get the crew goin’, don’tcha Captain?”

It was at that time that a large group of people appeared. Or at least, they were people at one point. Now they were rotting piles of flesh and bone. Sergio was a little wary of what they would do. Their dialect was hard to pick up at first, but Sergio managed to understand the gist of what they were saying. Apparently they needed to put on these “marks” so that they can be seen as allies with them. Kuro had already put one on and had handed off to someone else. When it came to Sergio, he put his on the back of his left hand. He looked back up at the natives of the island. He had never seen anything like them, but that wasn’t going to deter him. He pushed his nerves to the side and walked past Kuro up to what seemed to be the head of the large group. Sergio removed his hat and gave a reassuring smile.

“Howdy ya’ll! Allow me to introduce everyone. This fella here,” as he pointed to Kuro, “is our leader, Captain Kuro. My name is Sergio Phillips, and all of us make up the Midnight Pirates. Thank ya for welcomin’ us to your island. We’ll try not to be too much of a bother while we’re here. Let us know if we can do anythin’ for ya!”

Sergio went to shake one of the draugr’s hands, and it was a feeling he never experienced before. The feeling of decomposing flesh is something he would never forget. He kept a straight face, however, and bowed.

“Now, would any of ya be able to show us to the marketplace? We’ll be needin’ to stock back up on supplies.”

Auami Hears all the pirates yelling then hears foots steps as the men guarding her leave. She quickly gets up and uses her bone armor to inflate around her till it has made a giant exoskeleton. It keeps growing till the swords holding her snap from the pressure then the bone armor exoskeleton cracks into two leaving her to freely move around easily. She quickly gets up realizing this is her chance to escape, she then makes sure everyone has left the ship by staring out the port hole, then looking around the door being extra carefully and not to attract attention grabs her stuff from under a floor board a few feet away from the storage area or what they called the beer locker.

She jumps off the ship and gets ready to run away, when she hears the man say took you longs enough and wonders what he's talking about, then she sees everyone looking up so she looks up also and sees kuro come flying in. She thinks so her self "shit now of all times he has to come back", then gets ready to run at full speed away before he notices her.

But she is stoped by this half dead monstrous man and mutters under her breath "shit what now " and listens to what they have to say. Auami hears everything and realizes that she has to put on that mark so she sneaks over to where the tattoos are on puts one on her tigh under her clothes.

after that's done she begins walking out of there slowly and casually and right when she gets to the edge of the people kuro starts walking in her direction. she figures she is out numbered and doesn't know how fast they are so she just stand there waiting to see what he wants. To her surprised he doesn't seem violent any more she wonders what is going on and thinks maybe this is just a trap to get her to lower her guard when he pulls out to objects and hands them to her she looks at him shocked she completly didn't expect this turn of events she thought he was going to take her stuff since she hid it from him so she smiles at him and says

"thanks so much " then begins to blush and says "well I'm off see you later I guess "

And with that auami sprints off at full speed to look around the island after a hour of running she bumps into another monster person and ask them if they know where the marketplace is. she follows the monster person there and begins to look around to see what they have for sale at the marketplace.

”Is it not simply inevitable that Kuro would return? Stature and caliber of one’s essence are certainly intertwined with the concepts known as luck and fortune.”

His powerful words of reassurance only strengthened the will of the Midnight Pirates. They had nothing to fear. In fact, the Midnight Pirates were surprisingly welcomed to their new designation. For somebody like Shiro, a war was hardly even considered a nuisance to deal with – Nothing can compare to what happened in the Graveyard of Swords.

Shiro’s hands begin to tensely shake with excitement. He himself was not conscious aware of the reason behind his body’s actions. However, his body was aware of it – It was fully aware of his longing to do battle. As the crewmates climbed down, several blades spiked out of Shiro’s arms and back.

“K-Kuh … “

The Draugr, although surprised, did not respond with immediate action. They were calm, cautious and wary individuals. Observation would be their objective until there was a declaration for battle.

“Sorry about that. It seems to tense up too easily …” Shiro had said. He walked next to the tattoo and slapped it onto the right of his clothes, where his chest resided. Seeing as how Sergio was interested in the marketplace, Shiro decided to leave the task to him. He would head into the battlefield ... immediately.

“I'll be heading to the battlefield now!”, he said, while beginning to pull out the dozens of blades that had pierced his body just minutes ago. He glared at Kuro, hinting an invitation for him to join.

FOR THE MIDNIGHT PIRATE'S

Some of the nearby Draugr, lurking in the shadows, had been quietly snickering all this time. Their aura was extraordinary, as they remained undetected even to those with powerful observational haki. Nobody from the crew could notice their presence.

"Oi. Should we prepare that?"

"In due time. Wait until the Stafkarl have begun to move …”

Some of the lesser Draugrs were instructed by their officials to guide their new visitors. One of them guided Sergio to the marketplace.

A slightly apathetic looking Draugr, comprised of rotten flesh and bones, welcomed Sergio. In the marketplace, there were a fine collection of different log posts, weapons (ranging from swords, maces, arrows, guns, and so on), and even different kinds of jewels. The essence or feeling one would get from staring at the weapons were extraordinary – They were definitely not ordinary ones that could be wielded.

“You can’t afford anything. The currency we take here … are heads”, The Draugr said nonchalantly. This was directed to Auami and Sergio, who were both present in front of the marketplace.

“Come back when you’ve slain a few of the Stafkarl. Cut their heads up and bring them back in good quality,” he added.

---

In the meanwhile, Shiro had passed by the Draugr as Kuro and Kaya had been slightly idling about. One of the Draugrs directed Shiro to the path to the battlefield, and off he went. The pace at which he took was not fast, allowing his companions to follow him if they choose to do so.

As Shiro was about to pass the gate that separated Draugr headquarters from the battlefield, a voice could be heard.

“Don’t be a fool. Bring one of your so-called companions with you,” a man had said. Unlike the other Draugr, he emitted an extraordinary presence. The high grades, durable armour combined with his sharp wits were marks of his experience – Shiro was the type of man that he could see, eagerly rushing to his own death. Yes, this was one of the three great tyrants: Ormr. (Wyrm)

“If they choose to come, then they will. If not, then I will venture alone”, Shiro had replied as he walked past the gate.

FOR THE REVOLUTIONARY PIRATES

One of the Stafkarl kindly directed Axis to the marketplace. To his surprise, the old Stafkarl that owned the shop had a sign next to the inventory he sold. It contained a picture of a Draugr’s head.

“We only accept Draugr heads as part of our currency here, dear visitor.”

The goods were high class – Ranging from all kinds of weaponry (swords, spears, polearms, guns, and so on) to any item one would need for ship maintenance, jewels and so on.

“You’ll be able to purchase once you’ve slayed some Draugr,” he added.

As soon as Frost was handed one of the tattoos he started to look for a place to put it. Soon he realised all of his flesh but his face was covered, so he slapped it onto his left cheek, the only problem was that it was upside down. He would not be able to know that of course.

Upon listening to what Frost supposed was the Stafkarl elder he started to wonder about the state of things on the island.

"Wise Elder, why do you hate these Draugr so? What is it they have done?"

The old Stafkarl looked to the younger one guiding us. The reply came from the guide.

"The Draugr devour the blood and flesh of our people for pure, sadistic enjoyment. This clearly would not sit well with us, and at this time we are still involved in a war for survival."

Frost took this in, preparing another question.

"And has anything strange been happening lately that we could assist with?
"I come for all who grow, crawl, and walk. I am the perfect hunter. In the end, I am the victor."

Optional story event - Open to all

On the southern beach, the lighthouse suddenly sprung to life without warning. Flames erupted from the top of the Lighthouse, like a houndred barrels of oil just went up in flames at the same time. A slow, brilliant burn and not an explosion, it coated the sky in a pinkish red. After a couple of seconds, the fireball shrunk and calmed down as a red-pinkish rozy flame keeping the lighthouse lit like normal. Only, it wasnt normal.

From the earlyer flash of rozy(the red-pink color) fire, three lines had shot out from the lighthouse. Streams of rozy fire, racing across the sky in perfectly straight lines. All three headed in opposite directions, leaving a trail of rozy fire hanging in the sky as they headed into the distance. The trails werent big, or dazzling. Spanning about a meter in diameter, you probably wouldnt even notice them unless you happened to look at the sky or have a keen eye.

(The lighthouse on the southern beach is now emitting a pinkish red light instead of the normal white.)

The GoldForge Pirates - Entering thread on the right side

As they approached the island, the Goldforge pirates had been caught in the currents. And despite the crews best efforts, they had been driven towards the right side of the island.

As they reached land however, a horrible sight awaited them. All of a sudden, fricking undead, out of nowhere!
Ringer had already laid down the boarding plant so they could go ashore when he became aware of them, and was standing on the ship yelling profanities to keep the monstrosities off of the ship.

(Leaving this open for you BD to make the opening post for the Draugr)

Auami was amazed at all the pretty jewels, her eyes lit up like a Christmas tree, she loved the sight of all this stuff they had. Auami wondered if they even had dials she thought it was worth a shot so she asked one of the drauger in the stalls about it. Once she got her anwser she continued to look around, she had thought about stealing them but she knew she could never get away with it. Auami knew right then the only way to get the things she wanted was to kill these people called starkafl, she normally didn't like killing people but maybe these undead had a valid reason for wanting them dead and it isn't like she had much else to do on this island. She thought o well guess there's no other choice she then headed to the battle field.

(not sure where the market place is so going to assume its in the cave )

As auami gets outta the cave her eyes squint adjusting to the light of the outside again being in that cave was like being in a room with the lights turned off the lighting was horrible just enough to see the merchandise good enough. Auami decided to head toward the battle field once her eyes adjusted to the outside she notices a strange light in the sky so she heads to the lighthouse to see what's going on.

(auami is heading to light house)

"And has anything strange been happening lately that we could assist with?” Frost had asked.

The Stafkarl rubbed his beard, and pondered for a few seconds.

“Ah. There was that …”. He turned his eyes to Frost.

“You see, there have been recent sightings of some underground activity. There is a small island, about 10 kilometers from the highest point of this island. It is about a few hundred kilometers away altogether from our location. Though I do not know of how you will cover such an immense distance in a short duration of time, I suggest that you should check it out on our behalf. Please tell us how it goes,” he added.

FOR THE GOLDFORGE PIRATES

“Wwwwwelcomeeeeeee toooooo Voetttfanggggg … !” a Draugr had said. It was the very same that greeted the Midnight Pirates on their arrival.

“Ooooooh bblllleeessssseeeedddddd kiiinnnndddddrrrreeeedddd, ttttakkkkeeee itttt upppponnnnn yourrrselfffff toooo dooo battttleeeeee withhhhh tthheeeee Ssssstaffffkarlllllll!

(Oh blessed kindred, take it upon yourself to do battle with the Stafkarl)

“Uppppphooooolllllllddddd ourrr markkkkk anddddd enjoyyyy yourselfffff hereeeee!”

(Uphold our mark and enjoy yourself here!)

Another undead throws a pack of old paper, covered in ink. There appears to be a strange tattoo on it - From the mere look of it, it can be assumed that the Goldforge pirates must temporarily pledge loyalty to the undead by putting this temporarily tattoo on their skin or clothes.

More of the undead, whether partially or fully comprised of bones and rotten flesh, approached the vessel of the Goldforge to welcome them. Some of the Midnight Pirates (excluding Shiro) remained around the area – It would be a direct confrontation from these two crews.

FOR AUAMI

The girl ventured out alone, into the opening. It was not simply venturing into the battlefield, but rather, far off into the inner surroundings of the island: at where the lighthouse resided. Certainly, it was not a wise decision at all – She could only blame herself for what happened next.

While Auami had been walking to the lighthouse, a loud sound, signalling immense air resistance around the area, could be heard. Yes, it was the Stafkarl, who were about to land, having previously jumped hundreds of meters into the air!

BOOOM!

A relatively loud tremor could be heard alongside the path to the lighthouse. The ground had cracked. About a dozen Stafkarl had landed, right before Auami.

“Let’s go, bro!”

“Wait bro. Just wait a second … Look at that woman … “

“What’s wrong bro?”

“She has the MARK OF DRAUGR!”

“So that’s how it came to be … Looks like we’ve got a small task on our hand, wouldn’t you say, bro?”

The Stafkarl “bros” continued to address and collectively talk amongst themselves. After a quick discussion, they all directed their attention to Auami. With their superhuman running speed, the dozen Stafkarl had immediately cornered Auami in a circle, giving her absolutely no place to run or hide.

Two of the Stafkarl dashed in with a clever number of feints, punching her simultaneously. The impact was powerful enough to send her flying up the air by a few meters. Her ribcage had been shattered – Even if they did not know of her devil fruit abilities, it would not matter in any case. There was a far greater number (12 vs 1) of them than her, and her abilities could not allow her to regenerate severe injuries such as this in a matter of minutes.

It was incredibly dangerous. The only thing she could do at the moment would be to flee back to Draugr territory, or die attempting to reach the lighthouse …

"Durn me yer an ugly bunch arent ye? I like ye!" Ringer proclaimed with a triumphant pose, like he just scored huge by landing here, before running ashore. The gangplank nearly broke under his weight, as he forgot to tread carefully in his excitement.

With Moneypenny asking him to use his brain, he interpeted this as freedom and descided to head to the marketplace in order to secure gunpowder and some supplies. He had left the ship with a sack full of Beli, courtesy of Diana, making him a lucrative customer to the Shopkeeper or a fat juicy target for robbers. Before he did however, he turned towards the Draugr that first addressed them.

"Oi ugly, any rumors around the island?" He asked. He said "ugly" in a manner that made it seem he didnt mean any offense. On the contrary, it could be compared to when a black man call another black man "nigga". Basicly Ringer thinks of the Draugr as equals, as they are as butt-ugly as himself.

Auami screams in pain as she gets attacked she didn't expect to run into there territory, she thought this area was safe she quickly cancels out her pain and uses her body body bone armor to create a giant bone ball around her by expanding her bones all around her body like a exoskeleton. then ran the hell away using the the bone ball exoskeleton she was in to increase her speed like running inside a giant hamster ball she then ran the hell away back to drauger terriotory at full speed.

Upon being given the tattoos, Shinobu made a move to plant one, not on herself, but on Nova.

"I'll do yours."

"Oh. Thank- HEY!"

Shinobu rearranged her clothes to expose her chest and planted the mark at the top of her sternum.

"Nobody is going to see that!"

"Not with that attitude."

Shinobu placed her own mark in the same place on herself and squeezed her arms together to test for cleavage. Lacking results and with her shirt covering the mark passively she was forced to take it off and wrap it around her chest instead.

"Why would you even think of this?"

"Jenkin's told me once that women's breasts are full of hopes and dreams. I wonder how they get in there..."

"But I don't even have breasts!"

"Not with that attitude."

Nova retreated and found another tattoo and thought for a moment of where to put it, deciding on Shinobu's forehead. She hopped up and planted it at a random angle and then sat back and smiled. Shinobu didn't react, she tied her shirt in a knot at the front under her chest to push it up and give the appearance of breasts. Nova realised then that she couldn't see any more marks and groaned, she was now stuck with hers and would have to keep it visible.

"I'll do yours." Shinobu said as she went over to accost Nova, who didn't even react.

"I hate your experiments."

"That's the attitude."

Sergio was a little taken aback when he heard he could only use Stafkarl heads to trade in the marketplace. Coinage was going to do him no good. It looked like they were going to have to get deeply involved in this war the Draugr had going with the Stafkarl to get anything done before they left.

“Alright, then. I’ll see what I can do ‘bout gettin’ some heads for y’all.”

As he walked out of the marketplace, he noticed another person heading towards him. He was quite tall, even though Sergio was tall himself, this guy made him look like a kid being almost twice his size. The man had a large bag which could only be Beli by the jingle, he must be another pirate from a different ship. Sergio would have recognized him if he was part of the Midnight crew. He overheard the man ask a draugr of any rumors going around. Sergio stopped and walked up next to the guy, becoming interested in anything the draugr would end up saying.

“What he said.” Sergio pointed to the other pirate (Ringer). “I’d like to know of anythin’ interestin’ goin on as well. Perhaps somethin’s out there that can take me away from just mindlessly killin’ Stafkarl. Though I’ll be sure to kill any I end up comin’ across for ya.”

Sergio gave a quick smile and nod to show that he meant what he said.

After venturing in the market he regrouped with Shinobu and Frost and informed them of the rather unique currency here; that currency being undead heads.

"They also have some very high quality items and materials, it might be worth it to collect a few of these heads; undead can't be that hard right?"

Frost then informed him about what he had learned, some underground activity on a small island. And after all since it was requested to check it out rewards may be a possibility.

"Ok so I was told by the guy at the market that these undead can be found on their side of the island or on the battlefield. Since we are also wanting to check out this island perhaps we should venture towards there through the battle field and collect whatever heads we can along the way?"

Frost pondered a moment over the crumpled, hand-drawn map that they received, of what they assumed was the island. Once he came to a conclusion, he pulled out a small pin from his leather coat, pricked himself, and trailed the desired route in his blood to make it clear to the other members of the Revolution Pirates.

"I think this will be the safest route. New territory, anything could happen. Sticking close to the Stafkarl territory ensures we can flee from a tough fight and seek succour. At the same time we are still capable of trailing the war-zone up. It will take about three times longer to cross the water than necessary, but it will be worth it."

"Wakey up, sleepy head!" Yume joyfully said.

Mio's head was resting on Yume's lap. It's what you could call a 'Supreme Lap Pillow'. They had flew for a few hours up to reach Voettfang from above the ground. This would be another good chance for some upcoming adventures! Since they did not enter the island from either side, Yume and Mio were not wearing any marks. They would be identified as a potential threat to both sides - This would be rather dangerous, if not for Yume's combat abilities.

Nonetheless, it was time for the fun to continue. They would land soon, not before Yume's habit of showering islands with snow before landing. Pelts of snow could be seen falling from everywhere in the island ...

“Hana head out with Shiro and survey the area.”

Kuro sounded very authoritative while speaking to Hana so much so that the usually smart mouth Hana or at least towards Kuro anyway simply nodded and sighed as she dropped down from the ship. The mark of the tribe was also placed upon the top of her right hand with the wind from the fall catching under her long jacket blowing it up to reveal a sheathed blade of her own. Landing on the floor she looked up towards the sky before running her fingers through the side of her giving it a slight flick towards Kuro and anybody else that happened to be watching before she quickly caught up to Shiro. At this time Kuro pulled an apple from the inside of his jacket, he loved his apples so much that it seemed he had an endless bag of them stashed away somewhere on his body! Taking a bite from the apple the juice slowly ran down from his mouth before he licked it from the bottom of his chin while his mind slowly ticked over placing the pieces or at least it was beginning to place the pieces of the new puzzle into place.

His eyes drifted over to Jon who was just finishing up on his latest drink even if it didn’t look like it affected him very much. Jon was like a bottomless pit when it came to drink but then again so were most of the people from his island...just remembering the island brought a smile to the face of Kuro. Jon placed his empty bottle onto the side of the ship as he stood up like a colossal titan of epic proportions. He dwarfed Kuro and everybody else around him when it came to the size of him and Kuro was a good 6’2 himself and yet he looked like a mere midget. Just one arm of Job was as wide as the entire body of Kuro and just from looking at him you got the feeling that he was no ordinary man but a man of epic proportions and strength. With the top left hand side of his chest having a deep scar embedded, the sort you would expect from very nearly being cleaved in half and that wasn’t his only scar either. A small scar ran along his cheek just past his right eye from another slashing wound and his body was probably littered all over with them, he was a man that had clearly seen more than his fair share of bloody battles to the death.

“You wait here on the ship for now.”
“....”
“I need somebody i trust on the ship to protect what’s on it.”
“Be careful brat.”
“Nothing will happen i promise...”
“Just get me some good drink you little shit.”

The titanic hulking mass of meat sounded intimidating but that was merely down to the sheer size of him along with his deep voice of a giant. Looking at him you would class him as a giant and would probably expect him to eat you...since giants eat people and everything. Kuro turned his attention back to the island in front of him while Jon moved his massive body of meat back to the ship falling back down against the side of the ship which in turn caused the entire ship to shake from his sheer size. With a sigh Kuro patted the ship as much as to say if Jon wasn’t careful then he would literally sink the already wrecked ship which was on its last legs....they really needed it fixing but for now that would have to wait until the next island.

“Well then! How about me and you Kaya-chan head to the leader of this place?”

Kuro seemed to explode into life as his eyes flashed with life or they at least flashed bright with something. They were the eyes of a man that had seen something marvellous standing right in front of him the only question was what had Kuro actually seen. Kuro looked down at one of the inhabitants of the island as he asked the question almost like he was saying “take me to your boss”.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

((NPC part. This part will start to make sense later on.))

On the outskirts of the other side of the deadly island a single girl stood looking out from the top of a building. Her long silver waist length hair blew wildly in the wind while her white jacket ran the full length of her body shielding her back from any wary eyes. The back of her jacket had the symbol of a dragon embedded proudly into it with a name on top and bottom of the dragon not that it could quite be seen yet but what was certain was the mark of the dragon on her back belonged to one of the most powerful pirate crews on the sea. The mark of the dragon belonged to none other than the Dragon Pirates one of the 4 most powerful crews in the entire ocean....

“Who does he think he is...using me like this.”

Her soft voice was simply spoken out to the empty area around her with nobody there to hear her soft delicate angelic like voice. One thing was for certain though this girl was part of the Dragon Pirates and if she was there then something on the horizon was beginning to stir for this island be it for the better or the worse...

FOR RINGER

“AH HA HA HA!”

The Draugr had laughed maniacally in response to Ringer. Despite his intimidation, Ringer had excellently responded to the Draugr’s welcoming. The Draugr, being the devious and occasionally mischievous lumps of flesh and bones that they are, often beat down each other using a variety of insults. Ringer only made them feel more at ease, having met somebody who also appreciated this kind of apparent greeting.

“Ride the Volcano if you can – It’s called Hraun, located at the center of the damn battlefield. There’s this blacksmith up there, said to be able to forge weapons with the lava of the earth itself!”

“Get me a weapon while you’re at it,” he joked.

FOR REVOLUTIONARY

“Take the fastest route possible. These days have been pretty crazy – Even areas close to the battlefield are bound to get heated up and packed with fighting,” the Stafkarl said, offering his advice to the revolutionary pirates.

“You’re welcome anytime back here. Grab a couple ‘o heads while you’re at it. That outta feed you more than you need around here,” he continued.

It was up to the revolutionary pirates – Would they take a faster path, or slower path? In this case, it wasn’t apparent on whether one path would be safer than the other …

FOR KURO & KAYA

The lesser Draugrs shuttered at the mere thought of introducing Kuro to their leader, but eventually agreed to his request. After all, the punishment for not introducing their visitors to the officials of the island was death … at least in the case for these pathetic Draugrs.

After walking about a kilometer, there existed a pathway to underground. The lesser Draugr, along with Kuro and Kaya, entered. It didn’t take too long before they noticed multiple passageways, one of which was the largest of the bunch.

They entered that specific passageway, and eventually, saw it – The Throne of Darkness.

Only one person sat on that throne – His aura emitted the presence of a devourer, a creature that would consume everything at sight. Almost all the Draugrs, with exception to the two Tyrants (commanders of the Draugr), trembled at sight of their supreme leader.

- On the right side of Voettfang

This is Voertfang ha?
Isn't it Voettfang?
Who cares, its just a rock.

Two young men and a girl wearing white marine uniforms beneath blueish grey cloaks. They had managed to climb to the edge of the beach at which a white marine frigate and their two destroyers had set at shore, their flags were lowered and the few crew currently not making its way towards the island with their rowboats were currently working on a make-shift camuflage.

Stand alert..!

A giant of a man wearing vice-admirals uniform followed closely by two others of same rank made their way across the beach, the giant shouting at them was enough to make the trio snap to attention, saluting the vice admirals as they finally reached them, the other marines were finally making shore.

Division Leader Heartway!

They shouted together and flung their open palms in the air and then back across their hearts where they remained. "Devil Dog Hunters, reporting for duty!"

Heartway: Rail, Shigo, Fu.

Its been a while, I would love to trade stories but this is important so listen up; This island is called Voertfang(Fu: Told you so! Rail: Shu-Shut up!) two tribes are vying for control of the place, lead by some guys I can't remember the names of, but it doesen't matter! Pirates have been seen sailing towards this place, more importantly devil fruit users.
The brass has called for a hunt on whatever we find here, but since there is some problems going on we might face the locals aswell, of course we have the permissions to use our own "creativity" to fix any situation that may occur.

For now we must scout inland and gather information.

Fu, Rail, Shigo.
You three will each head up twenty of our elite marines, many of them are potential candidates for our division so don't squander them. Take them inland and attempt gather "intelligence".

I, and vice admiral Gura and Krak will head inland and investigate on our own, if you come upon too much trouble rally to us.

Until I signal that its over remain on this mission, if I do sign return to the ships or find me.

Now, Find your squads and move out!

________________________________________

Meanwhile a small ship is making its way towards the islands left side.

Hearts Aura hmm? Seems like he has already landed, tsk, he is gonna take all the fun out of this, then again there are still plenty of chances for my kind "creativity".

I will bring them true terror,
joyful and terrible.
I am going to bring a show so fitting for my title!

Tremble and behold, Voettfang!
White Admiral Kyosa is coming for you..!

// Assuming I am right next to Kuro still ///

Somehow still along side Kuro, he had not realized his ship had been destroyed and believed that his ride has left to let him keep doing his job, whatever his job was, wait, why was he still here? That thought dawned on him after several days of living in a sleepy blur, causing him to suddenly speak out, just after the great dark leader thing had spoken so ominously at them.

Oi..

Auami kept running inside the big bone ball the pain starting to catch up with her, until she finally drops down she catches her breath and makes a peep hole to see where she is. When she looks through the hole she sees the drauger marketplace and then breathes a sigh of relief as she is safe she exits the ball and then begins to walk around clutching her ribs she thinks to herself .

After the Gold Forge Pirates had decided to enter Voettfang, Kaname had tagged along with Ringer just in case something was going to happen. To her, Ringer had proven than proven himself as a very strong man. So had Diana and Noah, by the way, but from the looks of it, they weren't going to tag along for a little while. The moment she had spotted he Draugr, Kaname had jumped behind Ringer's back.

“Ride the Volcano if you can – It’s called Hraun, located at the center of the damn battlefield. There’s this blacksmith up there, said to be able to forge weapons with the lava of the earth itself!”

The Draugr seemed pretty friendly, and Kaname decided to take a small look at it, slowly letting her head show up from behind Ringer's enormous body. Well, maybe not enormous, but in comparison to the small and frail stature Kaname appeared in, ''enormous'' was not that far-fetched. Back to the Draugr. He was everything but pretty, but to Kaname he didn't look dangerous either. She slowly stepped aside, showing her full appearance to te being called Draugr.

"Thank you very much!"

(Ooc: (Sorry BD for my post not being immaculate; I’m having to do some rushed posts, due to unplanned events regarding college.))

A gentle grin creased the lips of little Kaya. Intimidated was the opposite of the feelings she currently possessed; instead, that lent itself to an elated stupor, excitement and discovery! The first thought on her mind as she and Kuro had separated from the crew was one of adventure. Not in the normal sense. On the contrary, Kaya was picturing the squirming undead in front of her, as she gently pried them apart.

Clearly they were dead. Her new mission? She wished to see what exactly drove them to move; inspired them to wage war against this other clan of individuals—who she at this time, assumed were also dead.

Her thoughts flickered back to the moment that Kuro had appeared, handing her bottle of finest Apple Juice. She had quickly stored it, mind set on the box that he had deftly tucked away; even though she had seen it, she had not had the opportunity on requesting the contents. Kuro—following his usual dramatics—swiftly appraised the situation, swearing his allegiance to the Draugr. Abruptly after words, he had requested to see their leaders. This had not really shocked the young girl; it had instead filled her with an utter feeling of joy, because he had included her in his calculations.

She laughed gently just as the leader had ended his sentence to Kuro; the laugh coming out as a soft giggle of a child. Not a normal giggle, but one that would inevitably cause even the most heartless to smile. She was now recalling the look on John’s face, as she had nimbly launched herself from the deck, utilizing her full potential physically to kiss the giant on the cheek. She looked up at his seriously as she had landed, and piped in her child’s approximation of an adult: “Now john, keep my juice safe from those smelly dead people, ok?”

"Hana, was it? Stay close to me at all times" Shiro says in a relatively serious tone of voice.

They walked alongside the Draugr's territory, straight up into the opening of the battlefield. Before reaching it however, a Stafkarl stood before Shiro.

"It saddens me to think that humans have teamed up with the Draugr, of all people," he said, pitying Shiro in the process.

" ... "

Shiro wasted no time. His blood had already dried while his skin had already clotted. It was clear that his body was itching to fight.

Trace on.

(Devil Fruit Usage)

A well forged katana appeared right before Shiro's hand. It was light, steady and had a sharp blade to it - Perfect for chopping down foes.

He dashed at the Stafkarl immediately, making a swift use of side-stepping diagonally and back. About 7 steps before he reached the Stafkarl, 5 Black Keys were traced (Devil Fruit Usage) and immediately shot at the Stafkarl.

"Let's go."

The Stafkarl immediately jumped to the right and Shiro reacts to his dodge, with Muramasa at hand.

Tsubame Mai!

In a split second, the Stafkarl who had been trapped in the air was sliced in the neck 6 consecutive times. Though he flinched for a second, the Stafkarl had immediately responded to Shiro's attack by dashing towards him without delay.

"What?"

Shiro was blown way a few meters up the air by the superhuman strength of the Stafkarl. Luckily, he had noticed the murderous intent and had avoided the worst of blows (to a vital point) with haki (Observational Haki Usage).

His consciousness began to fade. Muramasa's handle slipped out of his right hand.

"Oi Oi, did you forget your origin?"

A man, shrouded by the curse of every single damnation of the world, appeared before Shiro. His appearance, although menacing, showed a lack of motivation to begin a fight with him. This all happened in Shiro's head.

"Remember it - Be as you are, as you have been, as you will be. You are 'it'. 'It' is you ... "

Trace ... ON!

(Devil Fruit Usage)

The Stafkarl immediately reacted to the devil fruit powers of Shiro. However, he could not even respond to his twin blade slash - (Armament Haki) combined by one of Shiro's strongest pair of blades was all it took to decapitate him with ease ...

Two beautiful twin blades, symbolizing Yin and Yang, were held by Shiro - One in each hand. He had traced it at long last ... Kanshou and Bakuya.

"Shit me mate, and we've just finished sending-off the poor bastards lost at sea," Noah said as Ringer laid down the boarding plank and shouting profanities at the undead.

"Indeed Mr. Noah, it appears we've landed in quite the pool of feces at the moment," replied Captain Pellew whom appeared to be quite chipper despite the ominous atmosphere.

“Uppppphooooolllllllddddd ourrr markkkkk anddddd enjoyyyy yourselfffff hereeeee!”

"Well looks like we don't have much of a choice, specially since the Captain ordered that we use our damn heads. Pellew, I'm leaving the ship to ya, I'm gonna go see what's cooking in the Marketplace with Ringer. Thanks to the Captain we got ourselves infinite money!"

Securing his own (smaller) bag of Beli by his left hip, Noah descended the plank upholding the mark of the Draugr. He would meet up with Ringer and Kaname by the beach as the Draugr "invited" them to explore the volcano.

"Well, we do have money to burn~" Noah replied with a smile.

"I would rather you not burn it..." Diana says from directly behind Noah. She didn't feel like resting.

Before even the Draugr could address her, she holds her hand out, gesturing for them to stop. "I heard enough to understand. Wear your mark, right? I assume there's an ultimatum in there somewhere. You must be the life of the party~"

Then she holds out her hand to accept the temporary tattoo and places it on her cape. "For now, I will play this game of yours."

She smiles and bows, knowing full well that they couldn't return the gesture before, for some odd reason, she quietly talks to one of the Draugr, asking him where their enemies were. Perhaps she was just hungry for battle?

No...to her crew that wouldn't make sense. Although she hid it very well, she was still tired from overexerting herself earlier. Why would she fight?

Their eyes may be drawn to her luggage. Or not, as Ringer had already left to the Marketplace. With no word of thanks, she heads off towards what one would assume is the battlefield...but this was false. She was heading for the other side of the island, knowing fell well what was there...

But this post doesn't stop here. Oh no. Diana stops amongst some of the flora, loving the seclusion...for she opens her luggage and finds...a memory of the past. Something she used to wear. "I didn't think I'd ever be wearing this, again..." She sighs. "But I suppose it's about time to end this charade for only a short while..."

She places a hand on her head and pulls at her own hair, revealing that that pale blonde hair of hers...was nothing more than a wig. She shakes her head to get her hair to settle before getting changed and placing her clothes, and rolling her cape up into a ball with the inside showing out, into the luggage.

Diana Marsaad took off one of her disguises, the others being lost to her thanks to the White Fleet. She would have to buy more but for now her true self would suffice.

With a daring smile, she heads off towards the Stafkarl. Hoping to join their side as well and thus have a way out of both sides of this ridiculous war of theirs...

Axis takes a look at Frost's proposed plan and agree's to it. It would be best to play it safe and head north along the stafkarl edge of the battlefield and collect heads along the way towards the north coast of the island.

With that Axis and Frost set off for the edge of the battlefield.

"I'll see what i can get me hands on" Ringer laughed at the Draugrs request, and affixed the Draugr mark to his fist (where else?) as he was joined by Kaname.

"Stay close" he told her. "No telling what this durn island has in wait for us"

As they made their way to the marketplace, they met back up with Noah just as they arrived. Somehow Ringer had managed to take more then one wrong turn, gotten them seperated and nearly gotten them lost on their way to the marketplace. When they finally reached it, Ringer smiled triumphantly when reunited with Noah and Kaname as if it was a flawless victory and the journey from the beach to the marketplace all went according to plan.

He would knock, or call for the shopkeeper, but he figured the sound of his footsteps wasnt easily missed atleast when he wasnt trying to step softly. He was certain their presence was known.

Soon enough Frost and Axis had made their way to the edge of the battlegrounds by heading east. By now they had already familiarised themselves with the forest environment and prepared themselves for combat. It wasn't a continuous battle, though they had heard indications of fighting on their way there, but they were usually from 2 opposing scouting parties or teams designed for gorilla warfare.

Frost and Axis had arrived at a scene where they had heard a commotion just prior, bordering the battlefield. All that was left was a single Draugr standing amongst the corpses of both foes and allies alike.

Frost's Godsight (observation haki) was sharpened as he grew wary of the thirst for death and blood.

Kuro looked over towards the only one that could possibly be considered the ruler of these...creatures and calling them creatures was being nice. They were unnatural things to say the least they looked like they should be dead and buried and yet they were walking around and even talking or at least they talked in their own way. The leader seemed to ooze the same devilish aura as the rest of the so called creatures even if it was on a whole other level. The others that had brought them to the room seemed to waver before their leader so they still felt fear it seemed and they were also afraid of this leader person thing...he had killed some of his own people before perhaps. Two though stood proud unwavering they were clearly stronger than the other people on the island or at least stronger than the ones Kuro had already seen...

“We are currently meeting the leader of the island...at least the leader of his part anyway.”

Kuro spoke towards the lazy marine that still happened to be following him around, he couldn’t help but assume he would be bothersome to deal with when the time came. He didn’t bother to lower the tone of his voice while talking to him either which meant that everybody in the room could actually hear everything he was saying not that he actually cared. He was only speaking the truth so there was no need to hide it also it was always amusing to see how certain people reacted to different things. After answering the marines question Kuro turned his attention back towards the so called leader of the island, he did have an intimidating aura about him but it wasn’t new for Kuro so he didn’t seem to be too affected by it.

“Information. I want to know anything and everything about this island...my name is Kuro by the way and you would be?”

The way Kuro spoke and looked at the leader seemed to ooze confidence. Almost as if he was holding a conversation with any normal person in the world however there was one simple yet significant difference...the eyes of Kuro. They were not threatening they were simply razor sharp absorbing every single little detail of what was happening before him...it was the look of a man that had his guard up and ready to move at the slightest sign of danger...scary part was he looked so normal.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Don’t lose to something so weak.”

Hana spoke while making her way over to one of the many rocks that seemed to litter the area, the area or the battlefield as it had become known as wasn’t anything pretty or beautiful. If you were to sum the land up in one word then it would probably be a wasteland...or graveyard. Corpses of headless bodies seemed to be scattered over the area with some being nothing but skeletons while others were still in the middle of decomposing. With a sigh Hana looked as far as she could see to try and get a better layout of the area but it seemed hopeless with the wasteland seemingly being endless yet she knew somewhere on the other side these other people had to have been living.

“Oi Shiro...don’t wear yourself out to much. Better fighters are going to be deeper into the battlefield these are probably the ragged few that got left behind.”

Hana let out a sigh while taking a seat on one of the cleaner rocks her hand running through her hair as she didn’t bother to even look towards Shiro. Kuro had told her to look after Shiro while at the same time she was supposed to gather information, she didn’t know why but she didn’t really care. Shiro should be able to do the hard work or the dirty work at least and she could just bring back the heads of whatever people he killed while gathering information...it was a win win situation even if a tedious one. She might not have been paying much attention towards Shiro but she had already noted parts of his devil fruit and how it seemed to work...she would make sure to figure more of it out during this island.

"Hear of the dealings - The shady, underground dealings? Head to the small island up north of Voettfang for a closer look at this rumor ... " he said. It didn't seem as though the Draugr was kind enough to provide this information for free. In fact, you could get the feeling that he was using Auami to investigate for him ...

The one sitting in the Throne of Darkness would immediately be notified.

FOR RINGER & NOAH

The shopkeeper immediately opened his store for sale upon Ringer's arrival.

"You travelers must not be around the place'. No heads, no services."

"Feel free to browse around though ... " he snickered.

The one sitting in the Throne of Darkness would immediately be notified.

FOR DIANA

Diana was being glared at. A number of passing Stafkarl had taken it to rest on the branches of rather sturdy, durable trees. However, they would take attention on anybody bearing the mark of Draugr.

"Oi."

"Yeah, let's go."

The two Stafkarl jumped off the tree to greet Diana, who was all but alone.

"Going somewhere?" one sarcastically questioned. The other, being more mature and uninterested in taunting his opponents, took a fighting stance immediately. They blocked the path ahead, to the territory of Stafkarl.

FOR AXIS AND FROST

Having arrived at the area bordering the very battlefield itself, it did not take long before they were under presence of Draugr. In fact, there were two of them ...

Snickers and chuckles could be heard from all directions, surrounding the two Revolutionary pirates.

"The mark of Stafkarl ... these will make tasty meals." One whispered, just loudly enough so that both pirates could hear.

Two of the Draugr had dropped down. Both of them had chunks of flesh and bone attached - They took no delay to start a fight with them.

One of the undead released a breath of poisonous odor, aiming right at the pair. The other came in to close its distance between their foes while simultaneously drawing its sword in the process.

"Diana" jumps a little bit "Don't do that!" She shouts, taking deep breaths. "You are the Stafkarl...right? I was looking for some of you. No need to fight. I wish to join your side instead of theirs." She begins her tall tale.
"Those damned zombies threatened me and so I tricked them into thinking that I would fight for them, but I'd rather not. I'm not a big fan of the undead, if you get my meaning..."

Auami here's the tone of his voice and thinks something off, she was clearly being used but this could work to her advantage. this way maybe she could trade the info for something shiny, so she bows and says

"thanks for the info I'll look into it "

Then goes aroud and looks for a map onces she finds one she memorized the map she heads out for the battle field. when she hears the sounds of clashing swords all of a sudden she follows it to see shiro doing battle with a new pair of swords. She goes over and says to him mind if I help

Sergio watched as the giant of a man stomped off towards the market with a couple of his cohorts trailing behind him. Well, maybe he wasn’t really stomping; it could have been just how he normally walked. Due to his size, it seemed more like stomping as the ground shook a bit. Sergio had seen the large sack of beli that the giant had been carrying. It’s too bad that it wasn’t going to help him in a place like this. Though, he’d find out as soon as he got to the market. Sergio headed in the other direction, towards the battlefield. He craned his neck to look up to the top of the volcano out in the distance.

“A blacksmith on top of that there volcano that can make special weapons from lava, huh? I think that could be pretty useful for the crew.”

The path wasn’t going to be easy, however. The mountain looked to be right in the middle of the island; which meant it was right in the middle of the battlefield too. Plus, due to the ashy landscape, there was almost zero cover to hide behind besides some rocks and craters every now and then. Sergio resigned himself to the fact that he may have to end up doing more fighting than he would like.

When he reached the edge of the battlefield, he knelt down into the brush and crept slowly along. At least there was still forest and shrubs along the outside still for him to sneak around in. Although, being slightly above average in height made it a little difficult to stay fully hidden. He stopped a little ways in and decided he would wait there for anyone else to come along. Through his training while he was in the marine’s, Sergio had learned it wasn’t a wise decision to venture out alone in a battlefield. The odds of being outnumbered were quite high…

“Someone’s bound to come along sometime. That mammoth guy might actually show up even. He seems like he could be a good partner in a situation like this.”

Axis jumped backwards as the two draugr appeared, slipping his left hand into a pouch at his side. His hand clicked into the rotor gauntlet and he pulled it out and pointed it towards the draugr breathing the gas. Axis activates his devil fruit power and spins the gauntlet creating a gust of wind to blow the poison away from them and back past the draugr.

"Frost! You take the one with the sword"

Axis draws his right leg back and begins to spin it from the knee down as he hurls a rankyaku towards the draugr.

"Spin-Spin Wave!"

Instead of a normal slicing rankyaku the force rolled off of Axis's leg like a wave; sending a buffeting wave of force at the draugr.

Before the Draugr even revealed themselves Frost had sensed their presence, they didn't even attempt to hide their lust for blood.

Two of them...

Frost's hand nestled to his blade as the two foes appeared amongst the trees, one exhaled a gas which he couldn't be sure whether or not it was flammable. He decided not to test it unless necessary, but nor did he think it wise to run into the gas, one way or the other it would have a negative effect on Axis and himself.

One of the Draugr started to rush towards them, and to Frost's trained eyes he saw that he was already drawing his sword.

"Frost! you take the one with the sword!"

"My pleasure!"

I must be wary, if one can breathe gas maybe he can too.

The whirring of the dials on his sword came to life, making 'zu-zu' sounds ring in the air as he rushed forward to meet the Draugr in close-quarters combat. His sword wasn't drawn yet, but at any time Frost could release the dial's pressure build-up and unleash a devastatingly fast 'drawing strike.'

"Heads ye say?" Ringer inquired, his tone not one of amusement. Ringer was a pirate of honor, when it suited him, and despised needless killing.
Noah also visibly cringed at these news, and the two exchanged a look of worry before Ringer steeled himself and pulled a note out of his pocket.

There was no chance in hell of him walking into a battlefield collecting heads at random, such barbarism were reserved for less developed pirates. If he was to go out and fight anyones fight, especially one that involved killing, it would be exactly to order.

"10 barrels of gunpowder, 2 barrels of salt and oil respectively aswell as a way to tap them. About 300 yards worth of ropework, about a houndred pounds of coal, and a durn wrench. Sum wool and basic tailoring supplies if ye peddle that, and an anvil. A handmade anvil, none of that factorymade crap." Ringer listed. "How many durn heads would ya need fer that?"

With a number, Ringer could avoid needless killing, and collect only the number of heads he actually required. He figured he was sure to meet some stafkarl thingies on his way to the blacksmith, and could probably gather quite a few merely in self-defence. In Ringers mind, this justified acting as a temporary bountyhounter. He wasnt sure what Noah thought of this headcollecting, but despite it worrying him, Ringer was determined not to be stopped here at something so simple. No, he had to do this. It wasnt his war after all, these stafkarl wouldve died at the hands of Draugr for decades without Ringers help. He just.. helped expedite the proscess.

Atleast thats what he told himself

FOR DIANA

"Ga ha ha ha! So that's how it was ... " one of the Stafkarl said.

The other Stafkarl, appearing more cautious, opened his mouth to speak as well.

"Remove the Mark of Draugr and take on the Mark of Stafkarl - Otherwise, we cannot trust yo-"

He didn't get a chance to finish. The ground began to slightly rumble - An arm pushed out. In a matter of seconds, two Draugrs emerged from the ground.

The Stafkarl, immediately sighting the presence of Draugr, took on offensive stances once again.

"Human girl ... We had been overhearing the conversation from below - Will you remain as our kindred or deflect to the side of Stafkarl?", one Draugr had said.

"Choose ... now!", the cautious Stafkarl said.

FOR KURO & DEVIL DOG

The atmosphere around the man darkened ...

A miniature aura was released - Not only did the underground cavern begin to shake, but the ground around him instantly crumbled.

"You dare ... address me as an equal?"

Murderous intent filled the room. The lower Draugrs lowered their heads to their King, who at this point of time, could annihilate every single one of these "insects" before him.

"Bring me heads - I want 5 of the Stafkarl heads. Information is yours, provided you live up to my bargain - Of course ... You'll have to be specific with that ..."

The Draugrs quickly pushed the pirates and the devil dog to leave the room and arrive back at the surface. Perhaps it was salvation to those that would get utterly destroyed without being able to fight back ...

FOR AXIS & FROST

One of the Draugrs were hit by Axis's Rankyaku and immediately split in half. His body, upon seconds of splitting, disappeared.

The other Draugr immediately created a moderate sized smokescreen that covered the ground. While doing that, he cautiously approached Frost and aimed to slash him at his back.

Unknowingly for Axis, the other Draugr who was presumed dead from his first attack, spur back into life out underground and bit onto Axis's neck. Blood began to drain out ...

FOR RINGER

"'Bout three heads if you ask me. If you get something forged by the blacksmith, then it's yours!" the shopkeeper joked about.

Ringer had a similar feel to the Draugr - A feeling that he was genuine kindred. Even if they were different in nature (alignments), the Draugr couldn't help but appreciate him.

"Take these goods in advance. Just toss me the heads once ye' come back." He said, kindly. Perhaps he was the only kind Draugr that existed on this island ... possibly maintaining his sanity unlike the vast majority.

"Umm....umm...." The poor girl was surprised enough to show some hesitation...however, this was soon replaced by something clinking. Then more clinking became a storm of noise as coins flew out of her sleeves, spiraling around and boring a hole through the chest of at least one Draugr while aiming at the other ones eye.

"Get away from me, zombies!" She shouted at them as the gold drills kept spinning on, grinding the one Draugrs abdomen into a crimson pulp.

PRELUDE TO THE BLACKSMITH OF THE LAVA

The sound of twin iron clashing echoed from Volcano Hraun. Fiery, bright-hot sparks sprinkled and danced about as one man continued to rigorously slam his hammer at a slab of what appears to be a blade.

These sparks. Ha! I be appreciating these sparks alone ... ligaments of warmth, crafted by the burning lava itself.

The man held the sword and walked next to the Volcano. He had wrinkles all around, though he was rather muscular and built for a man of his age. A silvery beard hanged from his chin, while his right arm had been covered by burns. They were fevered, blazing scars he got from conversing with the deities of lava - Marks that he was rather proud of ...

"The flames be fiery and roasting 'night, eh?"

The man threw his sword into the Volcano. Before it landed, the man propelled his body to take on a stance - One he had cultivated with time and experience.

The sword slammed into the lower frontier of the Volcano's pit and remained completely still. The man had slammed the air using his hammer, forwarding the resistance to perfectly align the sword in the inner pits of the Volcano.

The tempest of lava roared fiercely - The sword was covered in it within an instant.

"Three sunrises, I reckon. Ga ha ha ha!"

The man walked back to his singular hut, surrounded by molten ash and flames. Only he could smith with lava - Only he could live beside the flames.

PRELUDE TO THE MAN OF THE MYST

Sometimes, human fabrication is what creates the existence of the nonexistent. It may very well be the forsaken desires that drive these lingering beings to live on. Such an entity is in fact, a ghost.

"Mehehehe!"

A number of minor Draugrs, with wide smirks on their faces, wandered around the surroundings of their territory.

Oooooooooooo ...

A strange voice could be heard. Following that, the Draugr could see an apparition before themselves, appearing all but faintly representing a man of about 165 cm high.

They weren't even given a chance to react - All but one were cut down. The extreme abnormality about this was that their extra lives had been all but slaughtered within a single attack.

"G-G-Gahhhhhh!"

The remaining Draugr had screamed and run away back to headquarters, with a pathetic, cowardly look on his decomposed face - Starting the legend of the ghost. While the apparition drifted back, one could notice a number of footsteps that extended to the upper region (tundra) of the island ... where the undisturbed temple lies ...

This had happened to the Stafkarl too, yet, nobody had dare entered the temple till this day ...

PRELUDE TO THE DEALER OF THE UNDERWORLD

"Phantom eh?"

A sleazy man, cloaked in red, entered a cave located on a small island, just up the coast of Voettfang.

He had carried a variety of goods single-handedly to the island. The preparations were in place - The Phantom Family would arrive for some "transactions".

Meanwhile, near the shore of the left side of the island, a girl with short, red hair on a floating piece of debris washed ashore. She was unconscious and would be at the mercy of the natives.

She was there on Saobody. She saw what happened and nearly died there, but miraculously...she lived. Even when she had boarded a ship that was blasted to kingdom come off the shores of Spin-Spin Island...she lived, and now she was here on Voettfang in blissful slumber.

A giant of a man stepped onto the shore from the Stafkarl side.

"Well well, wha'da'we 'av 'ere. A li'l g'rl eh?"

The man exhaled, smoke billowing from his mouth as he bent down, picking the up with one hand and throwing her over his shoulder easier than one would a sack of potatoes.

"Let's git yer ta a hospit'l."

And off the large man went, walking back into Stafkarl territory in search for someone to heal, or otherwise check to see if there were any problems with the girl.

Axis was surprised at the draugr's body being cut by the wave and the slightly confused when the two halves disappeared suddenly. He had a good idea where they went when he felt the teeth sink into his neck. In reaction Axis's hands flew up and griped the zombie's head tightly between them stopping him from pulling away.

"Drink all you want you bugger!"

Axis's entire upper body blurred into motion as it sped up to 20,000rpm in a matter of seconds as he hands twisted the draugr's head, intending to snap his neck, and hurling him towards the ground.
