A anime where the character pretends to be a normal shonen MC but it's actually a total badass?

First of all don't bother seeing my Anime List, need to update it urgently, anyway, I'm looking for an anime where the MC (Boy/man) pretends to be that kind of "scared" "coward" "idiot" MC that you frequently find in shounen animes but when shit hits the fan he becomes a total badass. (WARNING: I don't want him to have hidden powers, I want him to be a total badass and just pretend that he's stupid, and when shit hits the fan, the MC shows his true power, not something like Naruto where he wakes the Kyuubi and becomes a badass or some crazy shit like that, I want the MC to BE a badass, but just pretend he isn't).

Not necessarily but if possible some romance would be cool too.

And sorry for this specific kind of anime, it's just something I REALLY like, those jaw dropping moments that everyone in the anime has when they see the MC real powers, you know?

I accept Mangas sugestions too.

Hmm, I think Mahou Sensei Negima sort of fits your description pretty well. Sun-Ken Rock might also satisfy you.

I really appreciate the suggestions, and I found the right word I was looking for, goofy.

MC pretends to be goofy but it's a total badass, something like that would be really cool.
