Monster of course, it's one of the best psychological thriller I've seen, also most of the episodes leave you wanting more, but don't expect guts flying all over the place just because it revolves around a serial killer.

So far I've only seen Natsume Yuujincho, but it's worth watching so I guess I'll say that. I hear that Mushishi and Monster are also worth watching.

Monster is pretty much going to be an obvious winner in that poll, or close at least. It does a good job sucking you in within the first few episodes, if you like mystery that is.

Yeah, it's on hold for me, but it's mostly because of the longevity of it, but I'm for certain it's something really well worth it.

Just this once, I'll fulfill whatever your wish is.

Mushishi first, then Natsume. Higashi No Eden sucks. Monster Sucks, sure it has suspense, but it never actually leads to anything interesting.

I think you completely missed the point of what Monster is about, since every time it comes up in these polls, you spew the same line about it and its ending.
I'm also filled with pure-hearted ulterior motives.

w/e dude, so if I didn't enjoy it, supposedly it means I didn't understand it?

Yes, because you never care to elaborate past, "it never gets anywhere." It's a cheap one-liner that makes me question your understanding of the series.

Natsume Yuujinchou --> shoujo, fantasy 4x13ep
Mushishi --> seinen fantasy 26ep
Monster --> seinen, thriller 74ep
Higashi no Eden --> josei, sci-fi 11ep and 2 movies
Kimi to Boku --> shounen, slice of life 2x13ep

... they are too different genres and length! Do you need to watch them one by one?
Natsume Yuujinchou, Mushishi and Kimi to Boku are episodic (but still better to watch the episodes in order) anime
Higashi no Eden is short and Monster in long!
I would say
1st: Higashi no Eden
2nd: Monster
But one of the episodic anime in between... But if you like the 1st episode of them, you will like all the series! and you will just want to watch more until the end!

[EDIT] Our anime compatibility is 82.5
In your 5 choice my favorite is Natsume Yuujinchou, very near there is Mushishi, then Higashi no Eden, Kimi to Boku... very far after Monster (dropped at ep1 because of one horrible blond woman and all the thriller feeling I don't like!)

So basically you're just another one of those people who assume I didn't like it because it's too complex/sophisticated for my "inferior intelligence". Monster is not hard to understand, so that's not the case. It's just not my taste. I didn't enjoy Lain, so that must imply I didn't understand that one either, huh?

Or I gave you the chance to actually explain why you think it sucks, but you, being an idiot now, decided to take it to heart and act like I was insulting you.

Don't worry, I wasn't questioning your intelligence to begin with, but you just proved its capacity.

I'm thrilled by this because they're all really good series (and although the others get brought up a lot, I feel that Kimi to Boku is pretty much always overlooked and it's my absolute HAPPY SAUCE).

Personally, I like watching just one or two episodes of Natsume Yuujinchou or Kimi to Boku before bed, rather than marathon-style. So you can probably pick one to do that with and another one to watch during the day at a quicker pace.

As for me, I will not say it sucks, but I really didn't like it! I usually try to watch more than 1ep before dropping (exception: harem/ecchi/loli fanservice) but I really couldn't watch more! I just couldn't stand the full atmosphere (and specially the blond woman)! I have a lot of friends who like the manga, but for me it's just no! maybe in few days/months/years I will like it very much... why not?

And basically you recommend the one and only anime you watched on the list...
And for me, it's the one and only I didn't watched (but I tried!)

I didn't mean from an objective standpoint when I said it sucks although it looks that way.

What false assumptions? Jesus fucking Christ. You keep pulling off the same shit; getting butthurt and acting like I've been calling you a dumbass this entire time.

And we're in a recommendation board telling the requester what she/he should or shouldn't watch. If you're going to dismiss an anime, give a fucking reason. It's common sense and that's why I'm telling you to elaborate past a vague fucking description as to why you thought it sucked.

I didn't vote for anything, because Monster is the only one on my list, but nice assumption there. Also, if you read everything I've said in this thread, you'll notice that I never even recommended Monster.

You know what they same about what happens when you assume, right?

Sorry! My bad! I didn't vote neither, I just said "recommend" since it thought you were really into "Monster"
" You know what they same about what happens when you assume, right?" sorry, I don't understand... I tried to guess if is make a mistake... but...

I have seen Mushishi, 3 seasons of Natsume Yuujinchou, and Higashi no Eden
And I think i'll have to go with one of my favorites and pick Mushishi! True masterpiece.

Natsume Yuujinchou is one of those anime where I'll just watch a handful of episodes in between each series I finish since it's 4 seasons long and episodic.. would get tiring (for me) to watch all 52 episodes without anything in between

Natsume, Mushishi, and Monster.... Those are tough choices, watch them all obviously, but I chose Mushishi. Really though, any of those.
