i guess this anime is not very appealing to very young audiences, i understand the negative reaction ...I've seen mountains of anime and I think the art work in this one is second to none, characters are alive and the story intense, dark and poetic. 99% of anime is the same boring formulaic plots and character templates, the art work is identical and dumb. This is my new favorite anime

I absolutely hated the art in first episode - there was pretty much nothing to like about it there. However, here I am, waiting for each of the episodes. Art no longer disturbs me that much, because I just got used to it. There are parts that look stupid and funny, but as long as you don't concentrate on those too much, the anime is okay. Just started reading the manga, and honestly, the anime looks much more mature and serious. Characters look quite a bit older in anime though.

If episode 7 of Aku no Hana doesn't managed to prove once and for all that rotoscope for this particular anime it's more than ideal, then i give up.

Took some getting used to, but I love the animation. It fits so well with the mood of the show and is great at showing Kasuga's emotions.
