| Why do so many people care so much about avatars? |

| Not sure if I count since I only use teenage/older characters, but I personally just use whatever picture I think looks nice. I really don't care one way or the other if someone on the forums mistakes me for a female anyway; it's not like it's going to affect me in some way if some random person on the forum assumes I'm a girl. My profile says male and I don't hide my sex anyway, so anyone that I talk to regularly will know I'm a guy. And in threads where my sex actually matters, such as this one, it's always obvious to others that I'm a guy. |
