Sadly I'm not familiar with those mangas, but when it comes to gory, violent horror esque mangas I have a few. The ones that come to mind besides those already stated are Berserk, Hellsing, and Judge.

Berserk in and of itself is not entirely horror. However, it does have some elements of it and is filled with violence and crazy stuff going on. In my opinion, it's a REALLY good manga, but it can be disturbing and very screwed up at times. But then again, if that's what you're going for then you will definitely love this manga. I will point out ahead of time that the first three or four volumes are a tad slow, and you might wonder if my recommendation was stupid. But I encourage you to read on through the Golden Age arc of Berserk, and if for whatever reason you dislike it through that, chances are the stuff after won't drastically change your mind and it might be better to just stop altogether. I've heard some good things about the Berserk anime but have yet to watch that.

Hellsing was also a pretty good manga. It is completely filled with violence and outright bizarre madness throughout. If for nothing else, the insane action is definitely worth reading through and it's done a great job in that regard. Also, Alucard is a pretty awesome main character. Keep in mind that if you want to watch this, Hellsing Ultimate sticks to the manga version, while Hellsing does not, so if you watch the original Hellsing anime and dislike it, that might be why.

Judge doesn't have much outright messed up bloody stuff from what I recall, but it hasn't progressed very far to begin with. Considering what happened in its prequel, Doubt, chances are we will see those types of things eventually. It has potential and has psychological elements as well as the horror factor. Still a bit early to see how good it will turn out, but I've enjoyed it so far.

Hope these help some.

Another which is a anime that is new this winter season and it has a manga. I recommend either reading it or watching just don't do both because you'll kinda ruin the anime experience. But it has a very good story that's very suspenseful and has some gory scenes and I'm really enjoying the anime.

Only one I can think of is Rosario+Vampire. That is, the manga anyway. I haven't watched the anime but many sources have told me that the manga is a bunch better and the anime is filled with fanservice filler stuff.

I don't think I know of any others that you haven't seen.

Finding an underated anime that turns out great is pretty hard but I have two recommendations can't guarantee that you'll like them Kishin Houkou Demonbane and 3x3 eyes. I liked both but they were not fantastic or anything. Hope this helps.

One show that hear people say is underrated is Heroman. It's a super robot/superhero/comic book type show, so don't expect the superpowers to be explained all that much. It may not be to your liking though.

Ok, now I'm going into fanboy rave mode XD

Awesome robot
Awesome action
Awesome animation
Awesome soundtrack
All around awesomeness

And did I mention awesomess?

Which brings me to my question: anybody know another show like this, with super robot and/or superhero aspects? I've seen all of Gurren Lagann, and the first episode of Tiger and Bunny.

Have you guys seen Bakuman? Currently 2 seasons, each 25 episodes, there's going to be a 3rd soon. It's about two boys who strive to become manga artists. There romance, comedy, and slice of life/drama. It's also (I believe) made by the same people as Death Note.

Yeah, I really like it. it's interesting seeing them grow from high schoolers to working adults. Season three is supposedly the last one. Sad sad.

The only one I can think of right now is HeatGuy J. He's a cyborg, I think.

Edit: If you haven't watched Persona 4, then check it out. It has that "superhero" feel. Also Chrome Shelled Regios. That's all for now. :-)

Hmm if you don't mind shoujo, try Skip Beat, although there's more comedy and slice of life (about being an actor/celebrity) than romance, and the anime just covers about 10% of the manga today, which is still ongoing.

Also try Honey and Clover. The art is similar to Bokura ga Ita and Lovely Complex, but I think it's better.

It's not underrated but it's not on your list: Kekkaishi

The plot is very simple, but what's good about it are the fight scenes and the characters' use of their unique ability as a kekkaishi.

Have you seen Zero No Tsukaima? That has 3 seasons and is definitely a good fantasy adventure in my opinion, however it does have lot's of harem and romance in it.

Hi guys, here 3 movie recommendation from me this time:

  1. Toki Wo Kakeru Shoujo-A story about a girl that can leap through time(literally). Remind me much about about Stein;Gate. How your action could affect other.
  2. Bungaku Shoujo -Literally mean Literature Girl. A quite good romance movie. It tell about how a simple misunderstanding could lead into much bigger problem.
  3. Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo-A movie about Life-and-Death. Pretty good really in my opinion.
  4. Hotarubi no Mori e-A story revolve around an impossible love between a ghost (boy) and a girl. It is very good romance series. I really recommend it.
