| Hi there, I'm a 33year old father of 1 (almost 2) who was a former anime addict in the 90's. I watched stuff like Ranma, akira, riding bean, bubblegum crisis, X (series and movie), gunbuster, devil hunter yohko, dragon knight, vampire hunter D (original version), dragon ball z, flame of recca, fushigi yuugi, and a dozens more. That was 15+ years ago... the last of the anime I watched that I really liked was Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X, after that I think I only watched the movie Sword of the Stranger and that was it... I was pretty much away from the anime scene for 10 years (not counting the 1 movie)... ... but as of about October 2011 I went on an anime binge :D Seriously, for somebody with a full-time job and a kid to take care of, you'll be shocked by my watched list since then: - Ano Hana - Sora no Otoshimono (season 1 &2) - Clannad/Clannad After Story - Angel Beats - Code Geass (season 1 &2) - Kanon (2006) - Zero No Tsukaima (season 1, 2 &3) - ToraDora - Kampfer - Rumbling Hearts/Kimi ga Nozoumo Eien - Mayo Chiki - KissXsis (TV & OVA) - FLCL - Elfen Lied - Yosuga no Sora - Infinite Stratos - Star Ocean EX - Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (TV + movie... but "endless 8" I only watched first, part of second, then skipped to the last one) - Demon King Daimao - High School of the Dead - Girls Bravo - Air - The Girl Who Lept Through Time - Summer Wars - Myself; Yourself - Rosario + Vampire (season 1 & 2) - Beelzebub (up until current ep.51) - Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai - Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai (finally a brother-sister relationship that doesn't turn into incest... very un-anime like! LOL) - Shakugan no Shana (season 1, 2 and up until current ep.15 season 3) - Kore wa Zombie Desu ka - Baka to Test Shoukanjuu (season 1 & nii) - Bakemonogatari - Stein's Gate - Kanokon - Seikirei (season 1 & 2) - Omamori Himari - Hayate no Gotoku - Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi/A Dark Rabbit has Seven Lives - To Love Ru (season 1, 2 and OVA's) - Ao no Exorcist/Blue Exorcist - C3: CubexCursedxCurious - Chaos Head - Ef: A Tale of Memories/Melodies (season 1 & 2) - Mashiro Iro Symphony - School Days - The World God Only Knows (season 1 & 2) - Usagi Drop - Baby Princess 3D Paradise Love - 5cm per second - Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu Nuckin' Futs isn't it? :D I believe that's the list (I've been meaning to compile a list anyway, so I figure "MyAnimeList" might be as good of a place as any :D) Also currently watching as they air: - Beelzebub - Shakugan No Shana 3 - Zero No Tsukaima F - High School DxD (ecchi as hell but I really like it!) - Another (for some reason this show looks amazing on my 60"... nicely drawn backgrounds for a TV series, almost as good as 5cm per second) Death Note, Shuffle! and When they cry will probably be my next shows to be watched. If you guys can think of anything I might like please feel free to suggest, I don't think my anime binge will really come to an end until the newborn comes along (and even then I think it will turn from a binge into a regular addiction :D). I don't mind the girly stuff either... for some reason shows like ToraDora, Clannad, Baka to Test and Myself; Yourself which would've made me puke as a teen, I can now really enjoy! |

| I work a strange shift, only 4 days a week (10hour days). Due to the hours, I'm usually up until 3-5am anyway. So for example, today since posting this up 9 hours ago, I can add another 12ep series to the list (Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu). I was going to start watching Death Note but this 12ep series was in my downloads folder so I made it a "quick kill" :-) The reason I can get in so much anime, is because I don't watch anything else really. I think since October I've only watched 3 non-anime movies and simpsons/family guy/american dad/cleveland show sunday night line-up. Other than that only my son's kid's shows are on while I'm doing stuff around the house. BTW my kid likes Ranma 1/2 (yeah there's a lot of titties in season 1 but he's not even 4 yet and I skipped past some of the scenes I remembered) and Sonic X. Also the second last ending to Beelzebub (the one with Beel dancing "shake shake shake") absolutely had my son mesmerized every time it came on, he'd yell at me if I tried to skip past it :D |

| Hey, welcome to MAL! I'm pretty new here also, but the community is friendly enough for sure. A father who watches anime? Want to adopt me? xD You've got a really good list going (more than I've watched in 1 1/2 years), but when I skimmed through it I didn't see Bakemonogatari. That's my number anime, and judging by some of the stuff you had I think that you'll like it. You should definitely check it out! | Yeah man bakemonogatri was great! I gotta watch the next one in the series soon (Nisemonogatari I think). As for gintanma, I got the original 201 episodes... but I can't bring myself to watch that many episodes of the same series. I nearly dropped Clannad after story before all the important parts. AS went from a 7 to a 9 for me at that point and I nearly missed it because I was getting bored. |

| Forgot about Death Note... watched the other 2 then watched sequels, true tears, H2O, etc and started a couple of new series (nisemongatari, ano matteru) and only seeing this again did I remember death note was supposed to be next. fuck I'm sure I'm borderline otaku at this point XD I don't even have any interest in regular TV until I get this anime fix cured LOL |
