How long will it last?
Will it need general anaesthesia?
Hope everything go smoothly. Good luck.

My parent just had a minor surgery recently too.

Well, think about how many people you have not met, because you could only hear the ones talking to you from the right side !

There's no need to sorry. It's like maintenance. As people get older, some parts need to be replaced or repaired. The operation was smooth.

Pray to god they put you asleep during the surgery and just think that it will be over soon.

Goodluck! I've never had surgery before (thank god) so that is the best I can say :3.

Well I am sorry to hear that the surgery is necessary, my hope is that God will guide the surgeons hands to repair what is wrong, so that you can recover and never again have to fall under the knife any time soon. regardless though, I'll remember you in prayer until then. May God keep you through this trying time.

Coming from a guy who had an operation himself to put a screw into the joints of his little finger I think I can relate to your feelings your having at the moment I know how it feels to be in your position and I think having that experience I will probably give you some advice you will already know..

What I can tell you is that you have already achieved and went past the greatest fear.. by already completing and going through your first operation on your ear you already have experience of going through these emotions that you are encountering right now.. you went past the first operation just fine didn't you? So use that as an exemplar for this third operation to show that you were fine after the first and second operations so the third would not be any different! The first operation should be the greatest fear since it was your first and you don't know what will happen and anxiety takes over.. but you have past that now! Use that experience to make yourself not scared!

Also think that you have no enemies, the surgeons are there to help you and your family can keep you company prior to the operation.. they can give you real courage of getting past all this.. remember the surgeons want to fix your ear as well.. they are on your side and they are NOT there to make your ear worse than it already is and reassure you will be fine afterwards like you other two operations

I can tell you I was scared as well.. the fact that making me unconscious to work on my finger was not a comfortable thought and that same thought might be going through your head right now. Just think of positive stuff like after this operation my ear will be damn right better!

In anime, the louder you scream the stronger you become.

Buttttt you shouldn't be scared about it, it'll only improve. What you should be afraid of is the money you're going to burn if it fails.

Well, I had a surgery as well before to "reattach" my finger which nearly cut off before. I was a bit scared because it was my first surgery (and last, I hope) but thinking that there were a lot more people had a surgery with their life at stake, I was glad that I didn't have to be in their position. Some people have to make a very hard decision whether to have a surgery or not, because in some situations, failure is not an option (I hope you get what I mean here).

I don't know if this is a good advice for you because not everyone see surgery as the same perspective as mine, but as long as my life is not at stake and it will improve my condition, I wouldn't think too much about it. The more I think, the more I will be worried about it.
Anyway, I wish the best for your surgery =)

Praise the Lord for that. I hope your recovery is smooth, and that they took care of everything that was needed, have a Merry Christmas.
