This thread got started the other day when I brought up my distaste for Haruhi, specifically the character of Mikuru, on a forum I frequent; what erupted was an all-out moe war of epic proportions. Observe as the shortcomings of the "slice of life" "genre" are discussed, dissected, defended, and more for three pages (and counting!) of such furious, lengthy debate as only an anime forum can muster. Oh, I just noticed this. Well, I think the entire slice of life genre is kind of a waste of the anime medium.
