| Well I wasn't expecting this to turn into a gay love story between the Shogun and his sparing partner, Samon. Despite this development, the story telling is done well here. Both Samon and the Shogun understand that their love is forbidden due to the necessity of the Yagyuu clan supporting the Shogunate. If word was to get out, the feudal lords that the Shogun took power over would turn their hatred to the Yagyuu clan and it would have dire effects on them. There's just a lot of jealousy going around since the Shogun is only showing attention to Samon. |
