Anybody feels alright with her sudden transition from FMA to Silver Spoon?
I mean, from alchemist's adventure for Philosophers Stone to a city boy stuck in some farming school, i dont think the manga will be much of a hit..Thoughts?

Honestly, after the long running epic that was Fullmetal Alchemist, I can't blame her for wanting to unwind and take on something a bit lighter and simpler. And since she did grow up on a dairy farm and is probably drawing inspiration from personal experience, I bet she's really enjoying doing this series as well.

I really don't think this series is meant to be anything big or groundbreaking, just a simple yet still immensely enjoyable story about a guy trying to figure out what he want's to do with his life. It may not have the amazing plot that FMA had, but it still has a lot of the other elements that made me fall in love with that series to begin with, such as wonderful well fleshed out characters, great humerus moments, and touching heartwarming moments. Anyone who starts reading this series expecting another FMA is going to be disappointed for sure, but this is still a great manga in it's own right.

It seems like i actually like it more than FMA. And i'm serious :) This manga is closer to the real life anyway.
But if the arrow is straight
And the point is slick
It can pierce through dust
No matter how thick...

This manga is not fail.
You're complaining about seeing something you see all the time, yet you wouldn't be complaining if you saw her write a fantasy/action story that you read all the time? What?

It's actually good and pretty educational in the same way considering it's about farming and stuff. That's what I think at least.

It's already popular: 2 volumes have sold 1.5 million copies and it's constantly got colour pages in Weekly Shonen Sunday
