But no really, straight up harems (not counting reverse-harems for the moment since those are pretty different) are more often than not just terrible. And you're right, most people would be excited for this and I am ecstatic that people are saying its going to be crap. Because really, how is this show going to be any different from all the other innuendo+more filled mostly slice of life harem comedies? Those are all of the same quality level, which is quite low. It'll just be one giant awkward show that has nothing to actually "like" about it, people will just be watching it for a wtf factor or out of curiosity. |

| I am looking forward to this show, tbh. ^_^ It has much potential for failure from the actual production side AND will be trickier to pull off than OreImo. It's most likely going to be a harem show, but it's also possible that the harem only exists in the lurid imagination of the horny teenage writer. XD That might be nice.. Have just one or two girls interested in the guy while he fantasizes about the rest of the cast instead of the other way around. What really got me interested though was when I thought about a couple things: * If the main character is supposed to be writing material that is legally classified as pornography in Japan, then wouldn't he be unable to buy copies of his own work? XD * I haven't run into any references to him being a mangaka, which means he is a novelist most likely... Are his readers aware of his age or does he use a pen-persona? Is it his choice to do so or does his publisher force him to allow a fictional adult to take all his credit? * This entire concept could be a direct jab at the Tokyo Healthy Youth Ordinance Bill (or whatever that thing was called) since it VERY EXPLICITLY exempts written works from being restricted by the new law. If we get to hear the main guy bitch and moan about gays being on TV, then we'll know for sure I guess XD I'm not expecting all that much from this show, but as long as it makes me laugh, I probably won't drop it. ^^ |
