| I have seen lots of animes where the guy goes from being not so badass to being more badass- can anyone recommend any like this where the same thing happens to the girl? I tried watching 12 Kingdoms a while ago since I had been told it was like this, and while it was interesting at the beginning, I thought it quickly became boring and slow and I ended up giving up. Thanks.. |

| You could probably watch Ga-rei Zero. I don't know if you would call Kagura badass, but she makes leaps and bounds in the anime. |

| Maybe Bamboo Blade.. one of the girls is an ojou-sama type, well mannered and such but becomes menacingly dark when handed a bokken or shinai. Usually when she gets pissed of some girl trying to take her boyfriend. |

| I don't know what you mean by badass but I'll try. Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge - protagonist switches from moody and dark to cool and confident (vice versa). Witchblade - genki protagonist becomes badass for daughter TOKKO - most girls here are simply badass Tenshi na Konamaiki - main girl is actually/originally a guy so she's badass Tenjou Tenge - Badass sisters with badass boobs. Sol Bianca - female space pirates are badass. Silent Mobius - badass female police force beating crap out of badass monsters. Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha - badass mahou shoujo anime Ikkitousen - again badass girls with badass boobs. Ergo Proxy - because Re-l is badass looking. El Cazador / Noir / Madlax - because beetrain makes badass girls with guns Dirty Pair - old title but still badass and funny Devilman Lady - big badass mama Claymore - Clare is epic badass. also worth mentioning Teresa. Canaan - both protagonist and antagonist are badass. Bubblegum Crisis/2040 - Priss is badass and doesn't give a damn. Blood+ - Saya and her blood is badass. Bakuretsu Tenshi - Jo is badass girl with a badass mecha. |

| Claymore is prolly the anime where the girl undergos the most change in terms of strength which is still within logical reasoning and required sacrafices inorder to obtain the new strength (often very emo) |
