DMP Looking To Hire Scanlators

DMP the US publisher of titles such as The Guilty, Little Butterfly, and The Tyrant Who Falls In Love are looking to hire scanlators. They're hoping to speed up the process of getting manga from Japan to their readers and cut down on costs. With the recent crackdowns on scan sites many are wary, but if this works it may become a viable option for getting manga in the future.

Summer Comiket 78

Sensei via her blog listed what Tyrant goodies would be at Summer Comiket 78 in Tokyo this weekend. Comiket runs from Friday, August 13th to Sunday August 15th.

Limited 2 per person: Exclusive Summer 2010 - Rough Tyrant Collection, 16 pages with a black & white cover. price: ¥100 ($1.16/€0.91)

The entry also mentioned the Tyrant doujinshi "One Day in the Forest" will have a mini book 5 pg story with rough sketch production notes and color images in honor of the recent Tyrant Anime.

Tyrant Vol. 1 Available for Pre-Order



The English edition of The Tyrant Who Falls in Love Vol. 1 is now available for pre-order on Amazon.com. Amazon has the release date listed as September 7, 2010. However, the publisher DMP's June Manga site has it listed as August 18, 2010.

Tyrant was previously released in the US by DramaQueen, LLC. DramaQueen had financial difficulties and lost the license.

DMP announces Hinako Takanaga at this years Yaoi-con!



Digital Manga Publishing announced Hinako Takanaga as their special guest for Yaoi-Con 2010. This year the 10th anniversary of Yaoi-Con will be held in Burlingame, CA at the end of October. It was announced on September 2nd that all the rooms at the hotel have sold out. Pre-registration cutoff for the event is September 26!

Along with Sensei, other notable guests include the following:

Taifu's New French Releases

September 23, 2010 marks the release of Tyrant Volume 2 French Edition from Taifu Comics. Volume 1 was released on July 8th.

Tyrant Volume 4 - Available January 20, 2011

Taifu Comics has also released all 4 volumes of Challengers in French under the title of Rien n'est impossible. The final volume was released on July 12th.

Yaoi-Con Tsunami Relief Auction

Tyrant 3 Available for Pre-Order





The English edition of The Tyrant Who Falls in Love Volume 3 will be available from DMP's June Manga on Akadot April 20, 2011 And is available for Pre-Order on Amazon with a release date for June 7, 2011.

Volume 4 looks to be released on August 15th, 2011. Volume 2 was released on DMP's Akadot Retail December 15th, 2010 and on Amazon.com December 28, 2010. (Volume 2 originally had a release date on Amazon for January 11th, but it was moved up.)

DMP announced they have licensed the Tyrant Series up to Volume 6.

Tyrant was previously released in the US by DramaQueen, LLC. DramaQueen had financial difficulties and lost the license.

Koi Suru Boukun to End

A response from Takanaga Hinako on Twitter answered a question that has been on the minds of fans of her series The Tyrant Who Falls in Love.. Will this be the last arc? The answer is yes.

There may be some bonus stuff released afterward, one shots, but overall this is the finale, what hopes to be the big pay off for those of us who stayed glued to Souichi and Morinaga's story all these years.

There is also a spin-off in the works featuring Masaki x Kunihiro.

Awkward Silence, Vol. 2 Now Available





SuBLime Manga's English edition of Awkward Silence (Bukiyou na Silent), Volume 2 was released in both print and digital on October 23, 2012. Volume 1 was released on July 10, 2012. The Digital pdf edtions can be purchased directly from SuBLime's site and the print editions can be purchased through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, RightStuf and Book Depository.

**SuBLime confirmed during their panel at Yaoi-Con 2012 that they licensed Awkward Silence Volumes 3 & 4.**
