The MAL Mixtapes appear to be running a little slow, so I have decided to supplement the series with this. Same "mixtape" concept, only this time each participating member gets their own personal mixtape. Just choose some songs, give your mixtape a name, and upload the .zip or .rar, it's as simple as that You can choose a theme such as a specific genre, or simply choose whatever songs you like. There are no deadlines, anyone can put together a mixtape anytime. Here are a few rules to keep in mind while putting together your mixtape:

- 1 mixtape per person. If you make more than 1, choose which one you would like added to the list.
- 15-20 songs per mixtape. Mixtapes with more than 20 tracks must be divided into Parts, Discs, CDs, or whatever else you prefer to call them. In this case there must not be more than 50 songs.
- Songs can be as long as you like, no time limit. However, each track must be an individual song, no single-track playlists, albums, 1+ hour mixes, or anything of that nature. Most songs typically don't go longer than 20 minutes, try to keep it around that length.
- You must provide a download link to your mixtape.
- The mixtape must include a text document containing the tracklist, including track number, artist, and song title. Don't forget to credit yourself for putting the whole thing together!
- You must name your mixtape. It is preferable that you include your username somewhere in the title, otherwise, you must add your name somewhere else, such as a readme file.
- Optional: you may include cover art, if you want to spice things up a bit. If you can make your own, even better.

Here's what several member mixtapes might look like. There are way more songs than set by the rules, but it should serve as a decent sample: http://myanimelist.net/blog.php?eid=73800

Post your personal mixtape in this thread, and I'll add it to the main list: http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=103929

Thanks Seasonreaper!

I hope we get more contributors, it would be a shame to see the mixtape concept to die entirely, although it has had a good run at least. I've decided to start making a new mixtape for my own entry, probably with less tracks than the sample I provided. I'm thinking something along the lines of a remix/soundtrack theme would be interesting.

Edit: Rules updated.

I finally have some time, along with a decent internet plan (so that uploading fast is possible), to create a mixtape. I hope to have it done and uploaded by the end of the year.

Once again, I forgot to work on this. By the end of 2011, perhaps?

Holy moly, this took ages to put together, but it was worth it. Just barely made it under the track limit at exactly fifty, and I'm very pleased with the results. A collection of my favorite folk tunes:
