That said, I do not like a lot of Bleach and Naruto because of the pointless filler episodes. The main story arcs are usually fine though. |

| I haven't replied to this thread yet?? Oh, looks like I haven't! Awesome, I get to bitch more about FMA:B! :D Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is the worst anime I ever laid eyes on. Even Bleach though nonsensical, is better than this steaming pile of crap! Well, sort of... Both suck! But FMA:B, sux more! It's so morally disgusting and shamelessly onesided, cheaply melodramatic and childishly epic (if that makes sense) that i could barf on almost every episode. It's what a down and out on his luck and turned alcoholic Steven Spielberg would have come up with if Disney would give him another chance. That wasn't a compliment, I hate Disney aaaand I don't like Spielberg so much either. After watching this whole series through, I hope some doujin artist would make a GURO version of it and slaughter in the most hideous ways its main characters. That includes but not limited to: Ed, Al, Roy, Scar, Riza, Ling, May and ofcourse the most disgusting, despicable, annoying character ever made: Winry, who I would love to see being thrown to a bunch of starving pigs. Man, that doujinshi would be so freaking awesome! :D |

| One Piece - Probably my most hated anime. I'd rather set myself on fire than watch a rubber-armed gay kid in a sombrero flail around for some 400 episodes of bad animation. Fooly Cooly - A kid gets hit on the head by some ginger she-man, an unrealistic-sized bump appears, which sprouts into giant mecha robots that fight each other. Ridiculous. Honey and Clover - The only likable character in the entire series disappears for some 20 episodes to pursue his deluded art career. All that remains is a heap of unbearably boring characters that paint and whatnot. Cowboy Bebop - Uhm... Well it's not THAT bad. There's only so many times I can listen to jazz music while watching mediocre gunslinging action. Story is generally ok though. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - I wouldn't say I disliked this one, but I didn't like it nearly as much as some people do. I've been trying to work out what the hype is for, so I can watch the series again and try to experience something that I might have overlooked before. I hope someone can help me, because Ask Jeeves doesn't have an answer! I wondered if it was the fact that Haruhi could basically "make what she wanted to happen, happen", but that concept has been done so many times before, and so much better too. It can't be because of romance/drama/action because there simply isn't any whatsoever. Comedy scenes are VERY rare and mediocre. It's just about a little girls club right? I read about Haruhism or something... can someone explain to me what that is? (I wont bite =3) I also read that episode 1 should be ignored when reviewing Haruhi, but I actually found this one HILARIOUS! This episode alone is why I gave Haruhi a 6 rather than a 5. |

Really? The thread isn't about why do we dislike these popular anime. Just state that we dislike. And I did just that but I dislike FMA:B so much that when I am to say it, I just can't help but make such a long rant about it. As you can see though, since you checked my list, I have no anime dropped. I'm trying get through every anime I watch. If they're not available to me, I'm putting them on hold or else I keep them in my currently watching list till I complete them. I'm just weird like that, I always need to finish what I started no matter what that is and no matter how long it takes. That includes anime and so that includes FMA:B. The rating of 5 is because from the technical side of the anime, like its animation, production, voice acting, it was great, nearly perfect. But content-wise, that is the story and its character's and their development, sucked. That's why the rating of 5. If animation and the production were poor as well, I would have undoubtedly have it as the only anime rated 1 on my list. I think it's a fair rating, I recognize it's pros and cons (always regarding my tastes) and rate accordingly. It felt like the mangaka had a "Justice MUST be served" complex. This is what I mean by morally disgusting. |
