There are plenty examples on how a villain meets their end. But what's the best conclusion for you? While i do like it when a villain gets the last laugh. I am more satisfied if they get defeated by the protagonist. Intense duels that ends with the villain acknowledging the protagonist is the best for me.

I wanted to put this on anime discussion but i don't want to limit it to just anime. All characters from any medium is fine.

Villain x hero becoming a love couple is the best conclusion.
No, this isn't my signature.

Rarely, Villetta x Ohgi for example, although they are side characters, and it's actually a oppressor x rebel ship, but it seems close enough to villain x hero.

Their ideals are realized, by the protagonist after defeating them, in another way without so many sacrifices.

The villain should win at least once so the heroes can have a more earned win afterwards. Or at least that's how it usually goes.

the best conclusion for a villain is when it's funny, creative and...bizarre

I like when they get redeemed and reformed the most, like fat Majin Buu.

It depends on the villain itself, type of media, genres etc. etc. if I would have to choose a character having the best conclusion it would be Nowak from Orb on the movement of Earth.

Spoilers to the show up to the almost final episode:

It really depends on the villain and story to be honest. With the most evil villains though I want them to have the worst punishment possible lol.

Redemption is good, but it depends on the severity of their crimes.

It depends on style of villain. If it's an irredeemably evil force of destruction and chaos or just someone that could be an anti-hero who got pushed further and further into the villain role, sometimes by themselves and their own mistakes, until they saw no way out and decided to embrace being the bad guy

For the first type I think having their own ego and hatred be their own undoing is kinda fitting. For the latter type I think being ended by the protagonist makes the most sense, or having them redeem themselves and do some heroic sacrifice if it's a longer story arc. I don't like stories that end with the evil being exiled/sealed/turned-good(for now...) etc. Even an ending where evil wins is better than an ending that doesn't feel like an ending

I would say them having a satisfying death either by the main protagonist or the person they were chastising.

I think after all its usually more artistic or creative to finish what you started, so if there's a villain in the story then you're pretty dumb for letting them win hahah.

It does happen though so no hard feelings lol.

I love it when a villain's death is accompanied by a dramatic, epic final scream.

Someone like >Esdeath (from Akame ga Kill!), hot and sadistic yet faithful and reliable (if you just fuck her at any given free time).
