| As someone that was influenced with nostalgia when I watched this as a kid, honestly, it's NOT a bad anime, especially by the time it was made, but if you're looking for a breathtaking show to watch, it's not. If you like your typical Shonen anime with fights, although even then, when it comes to the fights most of them don't really last long, sure, watch it. Otherwise, it's another anime that has its cliches and bad pacing sometimes (especially a certain boring arc that happens just before the fight against the main antagonist, at one point I was just wishing it could end already). |

Hmm that's the problem with most 2000's long anime lol. Pacing is awful most of the times

In other words, it's not the typical isekai in which protagonist dies and gets reincarnated in another world where he's happy ever after if that's what you're looking for. Just so you don't get the wrong idea since most people that like isekai anime are into that these days. If you're curious about the fact if the anime was popular, I would say it was during its time, but obviously more in Japan than in the rest of the world. Apart from the fact itself that it got the anime adaptation there were also various video games based by MÄR that were released. |

Ohh i see. Well I like isekai more Like Overlord and Eminence in Shadow though lol. Evil type MC's are way more interesting than normal goody innocent MC
| @Apratim Yeah, this anime is more like MC being transported to a parallel world, rather than what the common isekai is. And the MC in this show is, well, just your typical Shonen MC so yeah, he's kinda that kind of goody innocent MC that never gets it no matter how many times certain girls express they like him but they still like him regardless because MC is such a good boy. |
