| It's the usual problem as always with anime movies: it's not on streaming. I missed the theatrical run earlier this year, and now I have to "buy" to own a digital copy. Or wait for the blu-ray release later this month. Which I'm not going to buy without seeing it at least once and liking it. Maybe it'll land in the local library so I can watch it for free, but I don't have high hopes... |

The movie is so understated and free of drama. It's difficult to describe and praise. I can't really say "this will make you cry" or "this is jaw-droppingly pretty" or "this is so much hype." Even Liz and the Blue Bird had more conflict and emotion, not to mention the connection to an existing popular series. I'm really glad this exists, but I also admit this is a hard sell. |
